mxtech1 Added a reply to Jettsons factory HRC CRF250R video.. what is that?
9/5/2021 6:37pm Close, but not quite the same thing. While the rider can use a button to change between maps, or engage launch control, nothing within the ECU parameters are changing once that mode is selected. So that’s what we call a static or dead setting, meaning it cannot dynamically change during operator use. Factory ECUs may very well be running “live”...

mxtech1 Added a reply to Fuel Spray - fuel overheating. Prevention must start NOW !!
9/5/2021 6:16pm After thinking on this for awhile, I tend to agree with you. Let’s say a rider gets sprayed with gas and his gear gets fairly saturated, then he falls down in a corner or goes over the bars and ends up underneath the bike. What if he ends up under the header or mid-pipe with the fuel soaked gear contacting...
Roczen had a fantastic year. 2nd in SX 2nd in MX Multiple wins in both series Made $Millions$ in less than 12 months Stayed relatively injury free all year. He’s the best all-around rider we had this year and you guys are dogging him for backing off a bit after he KNEW Ferrandis locked up the championship? Mind boggling…

9/5/2021 5:52pm Manny latches onto anyone who’s in the “industry” nuts. That’s cool he knows people on the inside. A lot of us have worked in and know plenty of people in the industry. Defending anyone who takes people’s money and lies to them just shows us he’ll nut hug anyone.

9/5/2021 5:51pm Vicious? Pay attention to all the threads. Go look in the Dumbgeon. In my opinion ML is getting off pretty easy on this nonsense. It's not "just" the $300. It's the blatant lies and BS excuses. In a hotel with COVID but then in a Weege video. ML has come in here and made a couple posts, and hopefully he backs it up this time. BUT....he still made a lot of excuses and gave us so many reasons why he did what he did. You have Manny on his nuts with all those looooooooong posts, which is hurting more than...

9/5/2021 5:49pm Did you read the fucking threads? If you spent the time reading instead of writing long winded extravagant posts trying to publicly gargle ML (No one gives a shit that you stopped to say Hi in the Sun and Dust), you’d be able to put two and two together. ML literally posts that he ran the team into debt while Scot writes that there’s no money left for refunds at WCL with ML wouldn’t respond to any of his communications (or anyone else’s for that matter).

9/5/2021 2:54pm There are several ways it can be done. Primitive traction control logic can be programmed onto and ECU without having a rear wheel speed sensor. However, a wheel speed sensor makes things much more accurate because it validates the decisions being made by the software. “Traction control” can be a term used very loosely, but in my opinion, it’s any...

9/5/2021 1:27pm There are some other cool things they could be doing too. Modern GPS receivers would fit in the airbox as well and not restrict engine airflow. They could be doing track position based mapping, the gps modules update at about 10hz, plenty fast enough to provide feedback. Using the wheel speed sensor they can verify the rider feedback and add another axis to the variable mapping. In the event of a Gps outage, they can use wheel speed, gear position, throttle position and suspension frequency to change the map inside the ecu to a fail safe. And the wheel speed...

mxtech1 Added a reply to Drone or No
9/5/2021 6:56am The drone shots are really cool and it gives a brand new perspective to the racing. It’s good to see the TV production crew experimenting with new things. If I could mention one improvement, I think they need to speed a little bit more on the drone camera and and upgrade to a better version. I will say the the...

9/5/2021 6:49am I was thinking the same thing. Out of all the beautiful tracks and top notch facilities in this country, it blows my mind that we have to watch 2 rounds at that shitbag parking lot track.
mxtech1 Added a reply to The differences between Star & Factory.
9/5/2021 6:46am Multiple sources involved with the team have mentioned Star has more flexibility with what parts can be ran, they develop much faster due to less layers of complexity, and most of all they are prioritized to win at all costs rather than pushing the corporate agenda.

9/3/2021 7:18pm Those sensors are called hall effect speed sensors. As you can see in the picture, the speed sensor is bolted to a special bracket that is custom machined into the inner wheel spacer. The cable running up the swingarm is a 3-wire setup (12v, Ground, Signal) that terminates back at the data logging device. HRC machines the hub with a...

8/28/2021 7:23pm It’s been stated several times that Roger put them on their GP Team package since they were delayed in their own MX testing due to SX championship contention. They were late to the game and thought they were better to start the 2021 National series with the GP package than what little time they had left to test to develop...

8/28/2021 6:59pm Not sure what changes KTM made to the frame, but you can be damn sure that AMA tech is going to flip up the peg springs TWICE next race during tech inspection since cooper said something.

8/28/2021 8:59am Zach hasn’t managed diddly shit and you want to throw him straight to MXDN boss? WTF. Payton Hahn Kehoe Regan Carmichael Are all probably the next most qualified. Then you have a whole big group of others industry guys that have a good amount of experience if all of those guys above pass.

8/28/2021 8:45am Here’s how it probably went down. Redbull: Hey Jett, we’ve got a cool idea for Pala. JL: Cool mate, what is it? Redbull: Let’s make a designated VIP area for you so that you can charge fans $125 entry. We’ll pay for the concessions, staffing, and facility work. We’ll give them free merch. It will increase your fan base and...
