7/1/2026 7:26am Used to do this years ago, after we got the flow pretty well down, we would take the chains and front sprocket off. It really teaches you how to carry momentum that way, hard on the knees though

Been riding/racing my trusty YZ250 since 2013. Love the bike but it is definitely tired. I've been considering getting a 450 for a while now as I embrace my vet years. The 250 two stroke is a blast, but you need to work pretty hard to ride it fast, which is fun if you're riding all the time. I went 450 to have a bike that I can ride fast within my comfort zone, and the easy maintenance for a weekend warrior type like myself. I can get a lot of hours out of a 450 before I'll need to...

No. I’m enjoying retirement in Aix en Provence, France. I posted that because it seems like Eli finally tried some stiffer forks. Looks like he’s struggling a bit in the turns but the front end is finally holding up better. It was just an observation after being critical of his front end for years. And which was a disaster in Australia and I talked about it on my show. That’s all.

It never ceases to amaze me honestly - old man rant incoming (I am not old). I coach 2 of my kids Flag Football teams. 1st/2nd & 5/6th grade divisions. There are three rules every player on my teams must follow or they are benched immediately. Be humble in victory. Be gracious in defeat. Have respect always. Because racers think they are entitled to the world for running 6th place in their local C-class. Racers want everything for free and at a moments notice. Race shops cannot survive because racers are not profitable. The general public is (usually) much nicer to deal with. I help people as much as I can when they are in a time crunch, but sometimes it is just not possible to fit people in.
