I agree. Even without (or maybe because he isnt there) Jett its been amazing. Ken is riding great too and with all those up there beeing such great and respectful racers we get to see almost entire main events of passing and racing instead of just 3 laps and then someone is on the ground. Its been amazing tbh.

Normally by this stage of the SX series I’m starting to think about the Nationals, but not this year; racing has been brilliant.

I love deegs, but no. Too many veterans of the class will be better than him most times. I will say I can’t wait to see how he does though. Hope Eli and him have good battles. He’s like Eli but with some of jett sprinkled in, technique wise.

Laughably false but at the same time the aluminum single spine frame, KYB suspension and Bajaj motor combination might be just the unicorn he's seeking. Or, he'd tuck the front or get dirt in his goggles or stomp the rear brake and we'll have another 20 pager.

Freestone's family stamp goes back to 1853 on that property. They aren't going anywhere. Currently, with the 3 biggest track owners (3 Palms, Freestone and Oak Hill) not getting along is only hurting the riders. Every single gate drop is stacked onto each other and its embarrassing, especially bc they're all staples in their district. I wish all Texas business and track owners success, except the Cowboys.

Don't know anything specific about Freestone, but Texas tracks/series have been undergoing some upheaval in sanctioning and ownership the past 18 months after being super stable for the last 20 years. Many tracks that were formerly independent have become AMA-sanctioned (I've heard mainly for the insurance). So there's that. And Tony Mosely, a terrific guy that basically ran the Texas Vintage Racing Club (TVRC) series for as long as I can remember, decided to retire from those duties. Even though we're all old guys, TVRC has always commanded pretty significant influence over the entire MX scene around the state. Probably...
