You do realize R&D, marketing/athlete sponsorship, and day to day operating costs are rolled into the cost of that "50 dollar helmet" don't you? Might be $50 to actually manufacture, but I bet the margins aren't as big as you think they are when factoring in all of the above.

I guarantee if the other side won we’d be looking at over $4.00 national average gas plus expiring tax cuts and higher inflation. I also got a $4/hr raise in the construction industry due to reinvesting in American natural gas. My tax rebate on overtime should make a $40 increase in my mx gear purchase minuscule. Most economic “experts” predicted a global recession by now and they’re getting humiliated every week.

Paturel is doing just fine. 16th last year in mxgp. I'd say Prado would be leading mxgp with a works Kawi. Maybe not a production based Kawi. But probably neither would Febvre

I think until the figure out how to get the bike setup in a way where he doesn’t get arm pump it wouldn’t matter where he raced. Arm pump is a nasty little thing.

Prado is in a new country and series on a new bike coming off of shoulder surgery. I’m sure the bike is not 100% of his liking yet. They are making changes during the week and testing at the races due to coming in behind the eight ball. He will be fine when he gets more comfortable and confidence is regained. I doubt he’d be winning in MXGP at the moment after the shoulder injury.

Always scratch my head when "good racing" is left off. I'm a fan of good racing.
