Picked up a 2022 CRF110 for the wife.  Guy got me on it a little I feel like.  He was hiding some stuff.  So on cold startup check engine light flashing 7 times and it's a hard start.   I haven't for sure found anything I can confirm what that light sequence indicates except maybe oil temp sensor which would make sense.  I've also got a whine only in neutral haven't been into the clutch or anything to see if I can find it yet.  Anybody else ran into either of these issues?

I have same year bike and haven’t had those issues. During cold start its normal for the motor to make some noise as it builds oil pressure then should go away.

DTC codes

Looks like the oil temp sensor/circuit which you said, and honda confirms that it will cause the hard start.

I've got a sensor I need to pickup tomorrow.  That little cover was broke so it's had an impact at some point.  They whine isn't normal and doesn't go away.  We also have a 2018 and a 2020 it's definitely something abnormal.  I'm convinced it has a bent shift shaft also so I'm going to swap it whine is coming from clutch side so I'll see what that looks like when I'm in doing that shaft.

Swapped the sensor still has the light flashing and still hard started.  Any other ideas?  All I can think of is the short piece of harness for it but I don't see anything wrong with it just looking.

Im not sure about the other problems, but hopefully the shift shaft isnt bent much or it will not be fun to get out. Put a shift shaft brace on it after you replace it.

Did you check battery voltage? Could be the ECU.

I haven't but sure spins plenty hard don't think it's a battery issue.

Update here boys.  So I was working on the clutch, shift shaft seemed slightly bent and found a rub, pic below.  It looks as though the shifter arm just wasn't quite together right.   Had the bike on the lift and was talking to a buddy on the phone and sitting down I saw a wire below broke at the harness.  What does that wire go to to yep to that engine temp sensor.
