Prado on Kawi in MXGP

Do you think Prado would be points leader on his Kawi in MXGP?

Or

Is the intensity and rider talent that much better in American Motocross?

I personally think Prado is blaming the bike for what we see as 7-14th place level riding.

Prado is in a new country and series on a new bike coming off of shoulder surgery. I’m sure the bike is not 100% of his liking yet. They are making changes during the week and testing at the races due to coming in behind the eight ball. He will be fine when he gets more comfortable and confidence is regained. I doubt he’d be winning in MXGP at the moment after the shoulder injury.

I think until the figure out how to get the bike setup in a way where he doesn’t get arm pump it wouldn’t matter where he raced. Arm pump is a nasty little thing.

Your question makes no sense.  Why couldn’t Prado be leading the points in MXGP, AND the intensity and talent is that much better in American motocross?

Paturel is doing just fine. 16th last year in mxgp. I'd say Prado would be leading mxgp with a works Kawi. Maybe not a production based Kawi. But probably neither would Febvre

New team and new country. Coming off a shoulder injury and just a whole new program. Give the guy year 2 before we bomb him with how bad he is,

Has he or the team said anything about armpump?

Ah, but i dont read it as a general armpump problem due to current setup issues, just track and condition induced?
But would explain a lot if he is in general struggling with armpump. Would have though that he would bring it up as one of th struggles since it would remove a lot of speculation.

I think the OP is trying his best to 'bomb' the GPs rather than Prado..

He has a weird take if you're asking me but whatever

Maybe he likes a really unique setup that they had on the Austrian bike and it’s really hard to replicate on a production based Kawasaki.

No. For one thing Herlings is back to being Herlings and I think he would beat Prado consistently now.

Supposedly he's now having arm pump issues... he's decided to lay off the works kawi is too slow narrative.. 🤣

Febvre is on production chassis, first year he raced it was works billet frame but switched to production after that

He'd be the points leader for sure, MXGP is the minor leagues, not near the talent the US series has.

Not to mention most the time they only have like 13 dudes on the gate, some of them barely California B riders, so if he got a bad start due to the Kawi being slow he'd be able to easily slice through the pack.

Yeah maybe I'm wrong. Last time I saw his bike in person was 23 and that was definitely not a production frame
But he also has that kind of riding style that would fit a Kawi. Kinda like RV. Prado is just about the opposite

It's obvious, arm pump on Kawi's is from the back being to low., ala Tomac
