In 2016 when Herlings extended his contract and signed his new 450 multi year deal Pit Beirer said in an interview that contract/money wise Herlings is in a range together with Dungey and Cairoli. I read that take all the time that those guys come over for money.. The absolute top/championship guys there do NOT have to worry about money. They come to the US because they want to race SX. I'd even argue that Prado now makes less money than in his 2023 and 2024 championship years. Riders that ride specially for satellite teams or riders that aren't winning/championship...

And for those of you of a certain age who remember, could this kid be Magoo 2.0? Sacha sacrifices it all to win, much like Danny Chandler did. It boggles the mind to think about this young man lining up for Supercross….

Suspect Lucas will be fine. Sacha may have lost the title run. Hope not. But hey, he went 1-1 at Southwick and became a legend! Comparisons to Magoo! What an honor.

These are Cornelius Toendel’s results from last year. And the dude shows up here, gets a factory ride because he was one of the best options for a fill in ride and takes top 10 in a moto. Anyone who can’t see how much better those guys are at MX than our guys are is just plain blind.

No, a born german in germany, who is now an american citizen won the supercross title. Cant try to americanize his orgin.. this supercross series is not the mayflower bud. Now his child, is American german due to the naturalization, so if he wins a supercross title in the future then yes an american won.

From 39th to 11th in two laps 😂 On a track that mostly has one line through corners. He basically passed most of these dudes railing the outside. Every pass he made it looked like they were standing still. Unreal stuff

I've had a lot of respect for both of those boys for quite a few years , and after watching yesterday , that respect went to a new level. Sasha mops the floor with everyone , goes down and breaks his collar bone, no goggles and still wins. That is true Grit right there. His ability to just freakin' Send it every where kept me on the edge of my seat. Incredible to watch!

I'm not saying the Kawasaki is a POS that can't win, but I feel compelled to point out that the lap times of the top 3 are another level. Pushing the bike that last bit is where the differentiation is.

Marchbanks is doing great as being regularly the best of the rest, but he was nearly one and a half minutes behind the lead when Hunter crashed in the second moto. The gap between the podium contenders and everyone else is vast, especially without Tomac, Sexton and JCoop.
