That's how I learned. The more start-stop you do while he's learning the better. He may stall a few times, ride the clutch a whole bunch a few times but that's how 90% of us learned. Keep it fun, and congrats.

Instruction only goes so far, it’s “feel” that you have to develop. Lots of starts and stops. Once he has a feel for what the clutch does and how to modulate it, the rest will come pretty easy. Be patient and let him have fun.

Stepping up to a new 65 today- Would love to hear any tips for helping him with the clutch. Appreciate it. Plan is:- We have a big open grass area at house ...click second, feel it out doing some loops. That's as far as i got!😄 I'll give him a tutorial when not running. Thanks!

I totally agree that if the broader public was exposed to our athletes and their stories that it would make for a very compelling Netflix show..... that would generate a very short lived increase in popularity and then a return to the baseline. I worked parts counter at Yamaha kawasaki Suzuki dealership early 2000s and uncle had been a mechanic there for years.... the place closed about a decade ago as did the Honda dealer in the next town over. Even in the 90s it wasn't at all uncommon for kids to get a mini bike as a gift even...

What exactly are we trying to accomplish here by trying to make this grimey little sport of ours mainstream? Then what? All this SMX bs,local nfl players at each round who have zero interest, what's the end game? More people at tracks? More bike sales? This thing will never be Nascar or MLB so wtf? TONS of us hate stick and...

too many rounds, kills outdoors when several are injured or still not 100% coming back from injury. I didn’t watch last weeks race at 3pm and probably won’t watch this race either. But I know Chase wont win because I picked him in fantasy….I believe SX will end up being 1 large ramp jump with a ring of fire in a walmart parking lot…whoever survives the leap without burning up will be declared the winner …Professional125 will handle driving the large ramp to all the Walmarts in the Northeast during winter, race bike studded tires will be inspected by the...

Agreed. I just don't give a shit about watching Cooper Webb ride. That's just the way it is. As for Chase I'd prefer to see him up against Jett and Eli. As it is I'm much more into outdoors anyway. 250 east is extraordinarily boring. Again, I just don't care about Old J Hampshire sandbagging for another year, or Tom Vialle crawling along gathering points. 250 west has been by far the most exciting this year. Seeing Haiden 'Patriot' Deegan getting smoked by a 17-year-old Kiwi (with an incredible style) has been awesome.

Hit the nail on the head, this happens to me every single year, by late march I am just focused on getting out riding myself being in Michigan where the weather is turning and most tracks are running. I still am interested in the races but nowhere near as much as in January and February when I look forward to Supercross all week. I do remember being more interested in the late races in the season in the seasons when it was more of a battle to the end. I also think Vegas was a more interesting final round than...

I've been over sx for awhile and I'm a Chase fan. Just not a huge fan of sx. I got really salty when it looked like we were robbed of Eli vs Jett outdoors but seems like mx is gonna shape up great. Bring on The Great Outdoors!

Crazy how accurate this is for me. With Jett, Tomac and Hunter out I have lost a lot of my interest. Sexton and Webb are both doing their thing, but they’re not my top picks in the class. I’m loving 250s and watch for that, but for the most part just want to get out and ride myself
