With the sort of mindset you have to have to win as much as he has, maybe the time off will rejuvenate his desire to compete again? RC got the motivation back when he was out of SX in 04 (but he was way younger of course). I just don´t think a person with his strong will, can let a career end like this. He´s been dominant, and looked to win the nats to with his pre-injury form. I really hope to see him back, absolutely gutted!

Maybe Dungey had the mxon roster as one of his outside goals this year? Whoever is on the 250 has 2 shots at 1 good moto seeing how Eli and Chase are riding at the moment. Last years winning score they can go 20-16 on the 250 and we may win with Eli and Chase riding so well

Tracks are still out there we just got a brand new 1/24 one built in Daytona Beach area in a mall. Search near you they are still out there!!

Tomac and Sexton are as close to a sure thing that you can get for a good score in 450. If you put either one of them on a 250 that "sure thing" goes out the window. Like someone said above, Tomac is sensitive to bike changes and needs to be comfortable. It took him 2-3 rounds to get comfortable on the Yamaha 450. Why risk ruining a good thing now? I get DV's logic. To me, it's more of a Hail Mary move that the US doesn't need this year.

I agree. DV is the man but I disagree here. Eli and Chase should be on their 450s. It's insane to take your 2 best 450 riders off of the bikes that they've been racing and testing (and winning) on. For as much as we talk/hear about bike set-ups and riders trying to get comfortable on their machines in a season, it's crazy to me that people can think it's a good idea to take your top rider off of his bike and put him on a 250, which he hasn't ridden in like 10 years.
