Parents give kids electronics, instead of their time these days. When I was a kid I played outside with other kids and rode bicycles everywhere. No one's parents ever interacted much with us. There's a lot more chubby kids in preschool and kindergarten these days. Staring at tablets doesn't burn many calories. If your kids do go outside, there's not as many other kids for them to play with these days. So, I spend a lot of time with my kids outside, and it's worth it.
