Horses for courses, but they’re about as even as two completely different engine designs could be. It’s a travesty that there’s not a true 250cc class in AMA pro racing. You’ll likely be quicker on the 4t at some tracks, but they’re not as much fun as the 2t in my opinion.

They just need to make separate classes for E-bikes. If the AMA had done that with 4-strokes 25 years ago we’d all be happier.

Eh that was a bit of a FU to GuyB for not responding to emails after 8 months, the one and only time I ever received a timeout. Suzuki Motocross Division: 1. E-start bikes minimum 2. Re-introduce RM125 and 250 from where they left off, BNG, value priced (unserved segment of the market) 3. Shave some weight off the premier 450 if possible 4. Repurpose some capable models to boost their off road market, NOT DRZ's 5. Refocus the division. Race? Doesn't really matter. For those who've rode both the new 250 and 300, curious your thoughts on which one to choose. I was dead set on the 300sx because it sounded like it rode very similar to a 450...can lug it a little more, fairly smooth, etc. Not so snappy like the old two strokes. The more I read this forum, the more I wonder if that's the right call or if the 250sx may be better. I'm old and slow... ride it Vet C class. Still learning and have basically no experience with 'old' two strokes. Just started riding a few years...

I'm one of the guys that doesn't really have a problem with the stock AER's, especially the 2020 and 2021 and newer. To me they are really good. I kinda like that the bikes are delivered with cheaper, lighter, easily adjustable air forks but the option is there to change to spring forks for those who so desire. Unlike competitors bikes where you basically get what you get and that's that. Now, what would be really cool is if you could pick which one you want and spec the bike at time of purchase and avoid having to do the...

I was building bikes back then and it was devastating watching a top rider ringing the neck of a highly tuned 125 for all he was worth, just to stay in front of a normally top ten rider on a stock 250f with a pipe. The 450 take over of the old 250 class happened a little slower, but it was still the main reason I exited the industry in 2005. The cheater bikes were fast and easier to ride, but will never be more fun.
