You left out 2005. The last 2-stroke to win a SX title.
'04 thru '08 are all amazing bikes.
Just put the magic button on it and price it below the competition. As-is, the RMZ platform will always be competitive at the rider level that’s gonna be buying the most bikes.
As a bonus, put some yellow hoops on them and watch them fly out the showroom doors!

I doubt Roczen winning a title will help sell anymore bikes.
Everyone knows Roczen would have won on any other bike also.
Do it!

Lfgggg
Why though? What's wrong with making a few basic, needed changes. The 450 shock, the 250 suspension and motor.
E-start, that’s it, all it needs.
All this win did was cause Suzuki to spend about 500 on beer and pizza in Japan and clink all there red solo cups together saying “see it’s fine” and just send the guy down to the factory to smash start on the assembly line for another ten years. Literally esthetic for Kenny and the team though. I just don’t see Suzuki doing shit because any bitch anyone has about the thing ( no e start, rear shock, heavy af, least powerful) they can just say “well we just won supercross on it so it must not be that bad.”
Forget the button, just put the 94 graphics, a pipe, and some sort of suspension similar to Ken’s setup on there. Like the 07 Charmichael replica they did![]()
It would be nice if Suzuki showed some sort of give a shit or support of motorcycling as a sport. I doubt they give Pipes team as much support as the banners around the Feld SX tracks cost them to put up. Such a strong supporter in years past in MXGP, MotoGP, Superbikes, Offroad, Endurance, Drag racing, and even trials at one time. Now not much of anything, despite rabid fans. Such a shame, and a blatant shitting on their supporters. Way too much money to be made in shitty little cars and not much corporate pride left.
NO!! The world needs more Tylers in it!!
I'm going to put most of those things anyway so I wish it came that way
Because I'm 69 this month and I ain't done. I have a fake right knee and kicking bikes is a little harder than it used to be. I like to keep my options open.
I mean he tried and years that tomac had dnf and Kenny was on hrc he couldn't get it done. I think that bike has a great platform to build a race bike
I've been saying the same thing for a while. It's Kenny's fault. The time to buy would have been 2 years ago before Kenny really ramped up.
Actually, it might be the closest thing on the line to a bike we can buy. RMZ250 shock and triple clamps, REP tuned suspension, PC pipe, Twisted engine package, Renthal Twinwalls. The trans would be the one big no. I also don’t know the details on the forks. With Twisted and REP they could set up for your liking and you could have a bike that is really very close. It’s a great time to be a fan and a rider.
Pit Row
I stopped racing Suzuki not because of performance, but because I broke them too often. I always thought they had a great base as a platform. You might need suspension or motor work, but the potential was really high. I had friends with a similar experience. I have no doubt they can design a high performing bike.
From everything I've heard that was true for sure.... but the factory has been more engaged for the past while.
Dude, now you've gone and woke Tyler's Mom up. You're in for a treat.😂
Sure, I heard that too, minimally in one discipline - one team. But the names of Suzuki's past champions in all disciplines of motorcycle racing throughout the years is monumental only to be crushed by lack of interest and involvement of the past decade or so by the maker. Suzuki has virtually abandoned motorcycle racing as a corporate sport, even small manufacturers with relatively little racing heritage compared to Suzuki like KTM, Beta, Triumph, and Ducati have more presence in bike racing than an industrial giant like Suzuki. Suzuki should be ashamed.
Just because Roczen won on it, doesn’t make me want one.
Even though Chase and Prado don’t like the KX450 doesn’t make me not want one.
Suzuki always has a special place for me. My 07 GSXR 750 is my favorite street bike, and a 2013 RMZ450 was my first dirt bike. I've said multiple times if Suzuki drops an updated RMZ I'd probably pick one up.
Updated suspension, updated engine, bluetooth connectivity. E start isn't required as long as it has other stuff to make it worth while. Suzuki needs to show they actually care to me.
Had a few Suzuki. 89 rm80, rm125, rm250, pe 175, 250, king quad, etc. they are okay. Best success for myself with the Yamaha, Honda lineup. Plus like my local dealer Honda, bombardier dealership just 10 minutes away.
Any placement would be a change in results if had no placement the previous year. But the rankings are less important than the rider feedback, in my opinion. Even if the RMZ hasn’t changed if the other bikes did it would still be useful to have the test rider’s perspective on how the bikes feel relative to each other.
Fair enough, would be nice if they made a push again.
Please don't everyone go out and buy Suzukis, because I prefer to keep an edge on my competition with my yellow beast.
If I could buy one it would be a 2018 RMZ250 or a 2017 RMZ450. The current body style just looks bad. It reminds me of that old Husqvarna BMW thing.
That's fair, but most shootouts I've read don't do much talking about how the bikes compare to each other. They'd be a lot cooler if they did though
