I think even first outdoor nat, no way Deegs gonna be behind AP/JC/CW/MS/R-J unless of a crash/mech.

That leaves Hunter bros, ET3 (KTM😱), Chase (Kawi😱) Roczen and…Prado? and i think with a decent start, some of these riders will be beat.

Jett will very likely be champ, 2:nd place i think is between Hunter/Haiden… 🫣

I have no doubt he'll be fast. But let's not forget it's his first season on a 450, and with his riding style, I can see him starting to fade a bit at the 25 min mark. It'll get better throughout the summer, but a hot day, gnarly racetrack, it's going to catch up to him. I think Barcia's first 450 summer, his trainer said "going from boy strength to man strength".

I don't like the kid, but he's in ridiculous shape, so any issues he has next summer won't be from fading, they'll come from between his ears. He's already shown on the 250 that when things don't go his way he's goes into berserker mode, and that usually causes the mistakes to compound (compare Deegan to Jett at Red Bud 2025 as an example).

They said he was a trust fund baby, wouldn't do anything in the pros, would he handled in the 250s, was the next Believe The Hype, sucked at supercross.  Some even hated him when he was a 4 year old on a 50 because of who his dad is. Yet, Deegan put in the work, won the titles, dominated the 250s, and now that all the couch jockey predictions didn't pan out, they are turning to the 450 class saying the same things, only thing time, Barcia 2.0.  Talk about egg on the face.

I can’t tell if this is supposed to be some tough guy thing or funny. Because Steven Seagal is a massive tool that nobody is intimidated by.

There's no practice now, so if he shows up in quali, he's racing west.

Come on, that was a year ago. Have to give Levi the benifit of the doubt that he has learned something in the past year and will come out for 2026 a better racer. If not ....

can't wait for Deegs 5-10 finishes when there's a full field. OP is known as the biggest nut-swinger on this board for Deegs.

This is just 971_fan's alter-ego/ new burner account.

You have to give it to the HD...when he is racing, 90% of the eyes are on him. He is friggin gnarly to watch ride. The kid gives it every time. I like Shimoda and all the other guys...but Deegs brings it to an entrely different level. He had Shimoda dusted, but he just had to eff around and find out.

"The HD". I like that. The Haiden Deegan is going to win some 450 races in 2026 for sure.

The 1980's had Bob Hannah. 2020's we got Deegan. I don't dig the shit he pulled on Joe at the SMX final...that was lame...

Nevertheless, Deegan brings heaps of first class entertainment to racing. I'm happy we got a rebel on the line.

Name the 9 guys faster then him outdoors on a 450

I don’t think these dudes are beating him every race but every rider on this list can podium or win every weekend.

Jett

Hunter

Sexton

Webb

Tomac

Justin Cooper

Mookie

That’s 7.

kage173 wrote:

No way Webb and Malcolm are faster than him outdoors. I doubt Cooper is either, but maybe

On 250s, Deegan was faster than JCoop, and close to as fast as Hunta' in his rookie year.

We never know how talent in 250s translates to 450, but every indication is that he'll be fighting for podiums right away, and wins at some point.

I don't believe the Lawrences are going to have it easy this year.  There are a lot of fast guys with something to prove.

No, but I will gladly admit I was wrong and say he did better than I thought if he does. I just think users like you ramp up the overall backlash towards Deegan when you make these big claims.

I have no doubt he will be good and even a single win would surpass my expectations but can you not see how eye rolling it is when “Deegan super fan” clocks him for multiple wins in his 450 rookie career against this current 450 field?

I suspect he's going to be in the RJ/AP/Prado zone around P5 average outdoors...  JL - HL- ET - CS will be the "common" top 4 with some mix in's.  But unless RJ/AP or Prado takes a notable step backwards, they are ahead of JC, CW and MS.  JCoop is the one that could step up a bit this year and join the next group up.

TAUTOG wrote:

Prado needs to take some steps forward first lol he spent all last year taking steps backwards.

Maybe, but he put up a P6 in the points last year with all the BS he pulled…. All he has to do is become a racer again and not a cry baby and it seems logical for him to be right there.

No, all the Deegan haters will just bury their head further in the sand. Not that I am a fan, but I do understand reality, and sometimes your least favorite people end up being really good.

The kid can ride, he's also a douche. they can both be true. I think he is going to have a strong showing but will make some mistakes and a potentially miss a few races trying to keep up/figure it out too quick. He will eventually figure it out, drop some anxiety and come back in future years and will definitely be battling at the top.

You gonna downvote someone based on their opinion, go ahead. It's the truth.

A more accurate statement would be Haiden has been the most dominant 250 guy since Ryan Villopoto.

Scratch that...James Stewart.

Here's a list of riders who beat Haiden for an overall just this past year.

Jo Shimoda
Chance Hymas
Jalek Swoll
Michael Mosiman
Mikkel Haarup
Julien Beaumer
Jordon Smith
Cole Davies
Seth Hammaker
Tom Vialle
Garrett Marchbanks

The list even grows if you want to include riders who beat him in individual motos… The whole “most dominant” moniker never really made sense to me when there’s over 10 guys who beat him in a single year of racing.

Strange you defined overall as just finishing ahead of Deegan, and not an overall win.  In that case, here's a list of riders who beat James Stewart for an overall just in 2002.

Travis Preston

Travis Elliot

Adam Mennegna

Joseph Olelhof

Craig Decker

David Pingree

Keith Johnson

Michael Brandes

How is it strange? I didn't change the definition of "overall", I looked at the result sheets and listed the people who beat him straight up. You listing the people who beat James in his rookie year isn't exactly the same equivalent as Haiden's 3rd year of SX where he was supposedly the most dominant rider ever.. When people reference James as being dominant it's because he routinely beat everyone.

To make it easy to comprehend, here the list of riders who beat James in his third year of Supercross:

Fucking no one

James results:

2002:

2003:

2004:

image 2396

Deegan's results

2023:

image 2398.png?VersionId=mksJVKJFAfyWtsR 4ya5KM7lWdXbo

 2024:

image 2399

2025:

image 2400

In their first 3 years of professional SX, Deegan has 7 wins. Stewart has 18 wins. Jett has 13 wins.  Villopoto has 11 wins in just 2 years  of 250 SX. Yes, Haiden is fast but he is far from the most dominant, not even close.

How fuckin cool would it be if super fan was actually steven segall? From now on Im imagining segall with a fresh uber eats delivery dripping off his hands, typing responses, with 3 screens of deegan at different points in time playing in the background, just hammering vital. Thats my vision of superfan. Sick.

Strange you defined overall as just finishing ahead of Deegan, and not an overall win.  In that case, here's a list of riders who beat James Stewart for an overall just in 2002.

Travis Preston

Travis Elliot

Adam Mennegna

Joseph Olelhof

Craig Decker

David Pingree

Keith Johnson

Michael Brandes

The list goes on and on...

but go ahead and put more effort into it.

In their first 3 years of professional SX, Deegan has 7 wins. Stewart has 18 wins. Jett has 13 wins.  Villopoto has 11 wins in just 2 years  of 250 SX. Yes, Haiden is fast but he is far from the most dominant, not even close.

Hansen won Indy in 04…Stew was there…just not circulating

Let’s do Carmichael in 98 (his 2nd year)

I know you are just responding to super  38

This is part of the negative side of Deegan bringing new fans into the sport. There is absolutely zero appreciation for history or the facts of the sport.

They come in thinking Deegan is the best there's ever been and refuse to hear anything else because they've been caught hook line and sinker by the Deegan marketing machine.

Deegan is an absolute monster on the track, and what he's done has been incredible to watch. He may end up as one of the greats, even. But he has not been as dominant overall as MANY that came before him.

What's even stranger is when he's been interviewed this off season about 250 vs 450 supercross, even he has alluded to unfinished business and said he has areas he needs to improve.

Yet you have the rabid uneducated (in the sport, so calm down) Deegan fans just spewing nonsense and doing him no favors.
