Nailed it
"He's weakness's are his early intensity, That's been his short fall all season long". As soon he said this (2mins into moto1) Jett over took 8 riders in the next 2 minutes. He's unbearable in the booth.
lol, as soon as he said that, I literally said outloud … uhhh you sure about that captain ?? pretty sure Jett’s early intensity has been just fine 😂
What's up DL? Happy Birthday.

I could've sworn I heard him say Joe Tomado during RDL. It's been over a decade, he's not getting any better. Time to move on.
but but but he’s the goat….
un fortunately we are stuck with him until the fanboys move on
He sounded like he was taking hits of helium during the St L broadcast... That or he's still going through puberty
Thanks, how did you know?
when he said this, I thought "Oh yeah, that's going in the QUOTES FROM RICKY thread". I mean, WTF? The guy who holeshots and wins everything lacks intensity early in the race? C'mon RC...just hang it up.
Because I heard about it over at MEM discord and wished you happy birthday with the other folks there.
The keys to the race are going to be key tonight…
And the reason that is..
"That was a wholesale move right there" -regarding Kitchen / Deegan incident
I immediately pictured Unadilla(?) where he made those insane early moves. The kid is literally an expert at pulling a holeshot or a top 5 start, getting to the lead by the end of the FIRST LAP, and then controlling the race from there. The few times we've seen him have to come from the back, including last night on a track we were told nobody can pass on, he's managed to work his way forward without ever looking like he's overriding or about to bin it. I have no idea what RC has been watching but aside from Jett not throwing it away when he's buried, I genuinely can't think of an example of him struggling to find intensity or get to the front early in a race
Thanks I didn’t know you were in there.
Gotta make sure it works for Screech too.🤔
He said this has been Jett’s shortfall. What the F is a short fall.? It’s either “downfall” or “shortcoming”. NOT shortfall. 😂
I laughed when he said this too. But it seems as though it isn’t an incorrect saying.
From Webster dictionary: a failure to come up to expectation or need.
Pit Row
you put the nail on the head
Hahaha, yes, I thought I heard that one but was not 100 percent sure, so I let it slide. Glad someone else got it!
What's strange is that on the highlight video, RC wasn't too bad. Maybe he's more suited to post race analysis because in the moment of calling the race live, well, we all know what he's like...
I enjoy when RC & jS7 gargle each others balls …..
I'm no RC fanboy.....but...
This is why social media is a disease. Threads like this. RC is still a person. When a mob gangs up on a person and keeps kicking him over and over and over, its pretty sad.
Anyone that feels so good about jumping on another person negatively to the point of trying to pummel him.... says more about the poster than the target.
Hopefully you all look in the mirror and see perfection. He's in the public eye and more susceptible to criticism, but 21 pages of insulting a fellow man that ruled this sport.
Imo, RC has balls for doing something in front of a million people that maybe he's not natural at.
Do you think JS7 is sitting around ripping on RC. Hell no.
Time to reflect on your own lives and think twice

I'm sure this thread will get a major downvote count. Wgaf. More proof of how fucked up the internet. None of you would say this to RC personally.
As someone who kind of pointed out RC wasn't that good (and got downvoted for it), there was actually a fair amount of support for RC until recently. It has waned a lot in the last 2 years. The whole supercross broadcast has been criticized though, not just RC. Even the likes of Weege acts differently in SX compared to MX. RC himself acts way way differently in SX vs podcasts and other interviews and things. RC seems like a fun enough dude, but must have an ego or something.
As a whole, with sports outside of SX / MX, the whole fan experience is often not accurately assessed. SX in particular has been guilty to pandering to new comers way too much - explaining the most simple concepts, trying to make it like football or something. I watch a lot of tennis and they never, ever (at least on the international commentary) talk as if the listener has never played before.
Also, RC is a real dude. I get that. But getting criticized is a perfectly okay thing. And promotes good discussion. Few comments actually attack his character, or his family, or his question his skills outside of commentating. We recognise he is the baddest dude to ever race a dirt bike. But he also sucks at speaking into a mic. RC sucks just like most of us probably "suck" at riding dirt bikes compared to RC at his peak.
I watch a lot of tennis and they never, ever (at least on the international commentary) talk as if the listener has never played before.
That is very true. Similarly formula 1 or MotoGP. They never go: „a slick tyre is a tyre with no grooves“ (maybe a bad example but you get the gist). It’s on the watcher to figure some stuff out yourself.
The last time I watched tennis, they were all:
"To your point, Jim, the ball is fuzzy, and you can really feel a lot more fuzz on a fuzzy ball than on a smooth ball. It's like, if you can imagine, it has more texture to it."
"Oh man, these guys are going for it! Just watch! He's gonna hit it back now... or... maybe just learn from where he is putting the ball."
"Jim, I like were he is at, down forty-love. If he can keep seeing the serve choices, he'll be in the cat-bird's seat..."
"I can't say enough, Jim. What these guys are doing is so tough in these conditions. It's like if you were in your yard, running around, hitting a ball-like object away from you, but it keeps coming back, and your arms get tired, and you have to keep going..."
"Just two more points and the match could be done, oh... looks like trophies and the King of England are coming out on the court..."
"Watch he's about to smash an ace, here it is . . ."
[sound of ball hitting net]
"oh"
Why do these arguments always come down to "RC was one of the best racers ever, you cannot critique his new job as a public speaker"?
We are paying for a product and we are having fun critiquing that product. No need to get butt hurt about it.
Yeah, point was there are 21 pages of quotes and mis-speaks by RC. If there were only one or two…. that wouldn’t be an issue. Guy made a few speaking mistakes. BUT… when the whole broadcast is full of this crap, week after week, it just makes the audience and fans say put someone else in there!!!. God…it hurts to hear that. I literally cringe on some of the stuff he says.
THAT’S why there are 21 pages and counting. Of course, none of us can look in the mirror and say that we’re perfect. We aren’t. But many of us could do better with the English language and using correct words on a national broadcast… guaranteed.
Nobody expects perfection. Nobody. But everyone posting here loves this sport, as does RC. And RC and his racing legacy mean the world to all of us too. These issues make us want our sport and RC displayed in the best possible light, and RC in a broadcasting career does not do that. Anyone watching or listening to him and not knowing he was the GOAT would wonder why is he in broadcasting at all. It's not like he is progressing or getting better, perhaps someday doing play by play college football or something. No way, he consistently embarasses himself and the sport, and the once GOAT of MX/SX is now more often viewed as a laughing stock, a shame.
