“Why do people hate the double boxes so much?” — Weege on the latest Fly Racing Racer X Review Show. AKA: Why do fans get so irritated by the PIP/split-screen segments? Because the problem isn’t necessarily showing two battles at once, it’s the absurdly inefficient way the screen is formatted to do so. As shown in the screenshot below, each viewable race feed occupies roughly 21.3% of the entire screen, with both race feeds combining for only 42.7% of the screen being utilized. I like how the Lawrences don’t even acknowledge or mention Deegan on the podium or in the interviews lol probably the best way to handle that clown show, don’t feed the monkeys - just spank ‘em on race day

At the time, the prevailing thinking/ reasoning was that there were issues with the facility, NY had two (2) races and they damn sure weren’t getting rid of Unadilla…..

4/20/2026 12:32pm It was an awesome time for mx in NY when both nationals were back to back with usually a break between. Frozen Ocean was absolutely insane during that time.

4/20/2026 11:10am What I was told was that Tom Hurd couldn't or wouldn't do upgrades that were being required by whoever was running the nationals at the time, so he sold the rights for the race to the promoter of Freestone.
