James and Weege kept saying how “DEEGS IS RIDING THE PACE OF THE LEADERS” as he was making his way thru the pack. Now I get he was slicing the pack apart going from 31st to 4th. However, after lap 2, Deegan was 27 seconds down. At the finish, Deegan was 56 seconds down. Great comeback, 100%, however, “riding the leaders pace”? Absolutely not, the Lawrence boys were 2-3 seconds a lap better then him the whole race. 2nd moto, if Jett didn’t wad it up, he would have been 25-30 seconds ahead of Deegan on a clean start. He’s pestering Jett because he can’t seem to beat him straight up. So he has to pester him in hopes of getting in his head. It’s sad the best American born rider we have has zero class. It’s going to be really funny if he can never solve the Jett mystery.

Dude should be docked one position for every lap he did that. Also after his first crash he cut the track too

For those in other parts of the country/world who say, "non-moto": It's very "moto" for us on the West Coast who ride/race Baja and serve the Rally community. If you don't care, there's plenty of Deegan threads for you to read.

Did I miss something? Jett IS one of the greats. There have been great guys before him and there will be great guys after him, but watching Jett ride a bike is like watching Roger Federer play tennis. It's beautiful.

I believe that in order to reach the absolute top of any field, motorsports in particular, one must be supremely confident, bordering on arrogant. There’s no other way to convince your brain’s self-preservation department that going that fast on your chosen form of track is reasonable. That said, I have always favored the “walk softly and carry a big stick” personality of letting your riding/driving do the talking. I don’t like openly arrogant people, regardless of what they do.

Purely conjecture, but this seems like a classic case of hiring a guy because he has the right experience and knowledge, and then refusing to ACTUALLY listen to him. Hopefully he goes on one of the podcasts and tells all.
