2 Saturdays ago it was 78% dew point that’s high & 93.   I worked on bikes & van on blacktop all day . I stopped sweating the last 5-6 hrs.  Sunday was the same weather I did the same thing.  Before that it was 51-62 for highs & usually rain.

Working on blacktop adds 60 degrees.  When I posted earlier I was working on stuff on blacktop. Accu weather the Best alerted my phone severe weather storm etc .  Just like the last 3 weeks no rain in the forecast then it’s thundering & raining.  Monday forecast for red Bud was cool & rain .  I say it changes again.  The Great Lakes create storms pretty quick.

93 is definitely on the warm side, but with the winds it shouldn't be a full blown dangerous scorcher.  Still though, it will be 10 degrees hotter than last weekend at Southwick which affected some of the riders.  I predict a lot of fans drinking cervezas to stay hydrated.

Flying out from CA tomorrow AM. This will be my first Redbud in person. Bringing my hydration pack with me. I run a 4:1 ratio on hot days...4 beers per 1 water.

Yea…and the local competition is likely running a 10-1 ratio.  Always trust the locals to know the conditions best.

I would offer to borrow my Ratio-Rite…but if your going to run that lean on the beer, 4-1,….just buy a premix….Bud Lite.

I sure hope not, 93 degrees isn't that bad. Let's reward the riders who are in shape and not pussies

But who knows, maybe they see Jett laboring again like moto 1 at Hangtown and decide to shorten it for their star

Its the other riders that need saving from Jett.

Yea and he almost died.

People forget what happened to Josh Lichtle at RedBud. Not sure anyone wants a repeat there.

41% humidity 65% dew point is nothing &93.  2 wekends ago it was 93 with 78% dew point & worked on bikes , van both days on blacktop .  It was 51-60 for highs b4 that.  Mi. Had a brutal winter I never saw 200+ mi lake effect storms  Nov, Dec  idiots had no salt either.  It was so bad I said I,m taking a break from Mi. It was below zero to.  Leave Mi. & do a 4 stop ld across Wi. High winds & wayy below zero with snow little snow tornadoes included much easier driving tho .  Even tho all the trucks lded light had to park . Mi. Pic IMG 2116 5.jpeg?VersionId=K54.fT7T TUkSPioVC

Got Lucky on that one. It was below zero I remember I had to take my yoga mat floor mat & cut holes in it & zip tie it ovr the radiator to get heat .  Winter  was soo bad I never want to snow again.  I was close to the track a few times ovr the winter . It seemed like there would never be another Red Bud ever, it was brutal. Haha

Off topic of the weather, that RacerX YouTube channel that shows old motos had the first moto from Red Bud '08. That track and layout looked amazing. Much better than current Red Bud

I prefer the layouts of Red Bud and Highpoint of that era than the current versions.

They’ve ruined high point and red bud isn’t far behind. I can only think of gentrification for a word as to what they’ve done to those two tracks in particular. Probably not the right word, but they’ve taken away almost every aspect that made both of those tracks unique. It’s a shame

Sounds like bad judgement.

The track looked awesome. It was prepped as fuck. Did they smooth out the tracks back in '08? They were touching them up all day. RV was FLYING! '08 RV would pummel these current 250 riders. I said it

This was my Dilla program for a decade. We'd drop off a TON of beer over the fence a mile or two up the road, get into the pits, then go retrieve it.

Figure 8 pitbike races with drunk adults and small children, somehow no one died.

One year at Budds I got so tuned up I missed most of the races. Had a buddy fill a 6x12 trailer to the roof with beer for Budds MXdN. Core memories.

I'll adjust my jetting accordingly tomorrow, need to make it to the finish line not at ambulance asking for an IV hookup haha. I'm in my 30s now...
