I was thinking about content ideas the other day and my own "moto bucket list" sorta popped up. Things I want to do with or on motorcycles before I call it a day...what's on yours?
Couple of my top ones:
Ride a motorcyle from the top of Alaska to the California/Mexico border.
Re-live the Vietnam Special episode of Top Gear.
Race Baja.
Ride a proper Belgium sand track.
I don’t ride a dirt bike, but as a fan, here’s my bucket list:
Become a photographer and shoot pictures on the floor of sx/mx/smx for a moto media company.
Attend MXON in the US.
Go to all socal sx rounds.
Go to Redbud on 4th of July weekend.
Attend an MXON in Europe.
These are all I can think of right now.
Ride from the Top to the Bottom of the World…
Alaska to lands end-Chile
The planning is in the works with the help of some American peeps in Argentina (likely prerun it in a Raptor).
To attend the mxon, but I will be crossing that off the list next year at ironman
Good list! I have been fortunate enough to do them all with the exception of all SoCal rounds (did hit A1 last year!).
Lived in Germany from 89-91 - hit the MXDN at Gaildorf. Was able to not only attend Redbud this year but shoot it!
My bucket list is to shoot the MXDN this year at Ironman.
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Possibly cross MXON off the list next year
Race/ride Baja
Last few years I have done all So Cal rounds but when I retire I want to do more of the rest of the series, maybe all rounds.
Hope to do something similar with Outdoors as well
Albeit I am currently living a bucket list item. That is enjoying the moto mecca that So Cal is.
Ride on…
Ride southwick, and lommel. Attend the MXoN in europe. Ride erzberg. Attempt a flip into a foam pit, even if its a pitbike.
Ride Southwick and Red Bud
Do one of the Mexico desert ride tours
Do one of Jeff Stanton’s adventure tours
Ride/race as long as my dad (age 73 and counting)
Live somewhere that I have my own track at my place
MXDN was one I wanted to cross off next year but looking bleak. Just found out our health insurance is going up $1000 a month and that’s already with our outrageous deductible. Seriously considering not racing at all next year and becoming a professional practice rider. If we can even swing that. Apologies for being a Debby Downer but fucking over this economy.
my high school days obviously I spent laps at budds , but I’ve ridden laps on high point too so next up when i financially get back on my feet , I gotta hit up the wick
A lot of easy moto wins next yr in 50b, 40b. Add a lot of hole shots in the 125 class. And lead a full lap. Sign up for some other classes for kicks. Then move to expert Profeshenal class or 50a. Race in 5or 6 states. Possibly race the east Canadian Nationals in the pre mix class , if I can go 8 laps. If I can go 8 laps skip premix except for the week long am with a national on the weekend. And race some pro ams. Finish both motos & hope I can score points. The goal is to make more racing a bike than some north east loads. Do a couple fair races for fun. Live out of a c class motorhome, I just love them.
Mxon for sure. Would like to go overseas for it one year.
My boys are 2 1/2 and 2 weeks, so lots of weekends with them.
Roadtrips to ride Washougal and other hotspots
Those Costa Rica single track bike tours look really fun.
I'd love to attend a MXDN in Europe. I would prefer to attend one in England or Italy. I've attended both Red Buds MXDN and I'll be at Ironman next year.they say Europe is the best!!
My hope is to one day ride with my son and grandson at Glen Helen. Me and the grandson rode Cahuilla Creek and Perris once. Glen Helen wasn't in the cards that trip.
My son is currently incarcerated and has issues with drugs. I don't intend to do this trip with him involved unless he is 100% clean. He gets out the end of this month, we will see how that goes.
So, depending on him it may never happen. But, my grandson and I will do it at some point.
I'd love to get into adventure bike riding and do the Alaska to Key West trip.
Fairly standard stuff for an Aussie who is a superfan but doesn't ride any more
Attend A1 (Completed)
Attend Red Bud July 4th Weekend
Attend MXDN in Europe (Ideally a French one)
Here's a list, in no particular order: Southwick, Millville, Cycle Ranch, Ironman (both MX and GNCC), Moab, Glamis, Baja (again), more time at Croom. If we're dreaming of places to go but will most likely never be allowed: James Stewarts house and the GOAT Farm. I know there's more places floating around in my head but this is just a short list. A man can dream can't he?!
This will not go over well with the flat earthers
I hope your son can turn the corner and you can fulfill your wishes. I’ve had lots of my family affected by drugs, mainly Heroine. It’s terrible what can happen to a good person, when you mix in drugs. Hoping the best for you and your family
Pit Row
When you get down to Yaviza, Panama you're going to need a dirt bike. There are no roads through the Darien Gap. It's kind of lawless and dangerous there.
Be careful, brother. Most people take a ferry into Colombia and pick up the journey from there.
Berm Buster in New Zealand looks epic. Top of my list at the moment.
Attend A1 and work as media;
Race Manjimup again.
Ride the Continental Divide trail. Pre run Baje, I’ve had the opportunity a few times, but business got in the way.
I highly suggest getting on the rides with locals tour and doing a trip with Skuli and gang across Iceland. Got to do that a couple months ago and it was the most fun I’ve ever had on a dirt bike I think.

Ride Monster Mountain MX.
Isle of Man TT
Isle of Man tt
Ride my FJR to both coast, Canada and Mexico.
MXON in Europe
MXON was on the list but I went to both red bud races and I’ll be at Ironman.
Outdoor national, went to muddy creek Ironman and red bud.
A1.
Daytona
The wick
Build world class facility where all you do is show up with a gear bag and your family/friends.
Solve the private race team conundrum.
Bring more talent to the Thai mx series.
Develop a Thai rider and get him a seat in the US.
Promote an athlete centered race/series.
Ride Dakar.
Have a kid before my dad is too old to spin laps with him.
Attend A1
Ride Glen Helen... dreamed about being wide open on the first turn since I was a kid. It might be my favorite track feature ever.
Agreed on the Costa Rica adventure.
Great list s everyone! When my shoulder heals up I wanna trailer my 990 adv and 250xc to California. Ive been to few outdoor nationals but I wanna see Hangtown. My first magazine was July issue of mxa. They covered the hangtown race in that issue. Ive been infatuated since.
1. Attend A1
2. Gold Creek Lodge Trip
3. Attend and tour Romaniacs
