I get where you’re coming from and agree that a lot of people are geared that way, but in this case I don’t think it’s the nationalism aspect as much as just what’s practical

Get rid of SX heat races, have qualifying on Friday and run 2 motos all season long!

SMX should be hybrid tracks. Moto is now 2 minute laptimes with man-made obstacles on natural terrain, usually with elevation changes. Supercross has become sub-one minute laptimes in a football stadium with six lanes. SMX should be right between those: 1:30 laptimes including Daytona. Add Charlotte speedway, Atlanta speedway, throw in the LA Coliseum. Then go to new venues like Bristol without the chainlink fencing, Martinsville speedway, etc. The full season should be something like 11 stadiums, 11 outdoor nationals, and 7 true hybrid tracks including Daytona. That's back to 29 rounds as it was before the pandemic.

I'm not defending I am explaining with common sense what the purpose of the chat group was...as I said above " The whole purpose of the group text was/is to have an open communication between the AMA/Feld/MXSports and the team managers. So what does it say about the younger guys that are supposed to replace them yet haven't replaced them? There's a reason the older guys are still being offered contracts and lining up.

We’re going to have Jett, Hunter, Prado the Coenen brothers, Deegan and Davies in the 450 class for the foreseeable future. We are in good hands, those guys are all pretty young (minus Hunter I suppose) and they’re all phenomenal talents. It’s extremely rare that we have more than 2-3 guys in any given season who have a legitimate chance at winning the titles. Outside of those guys, everyone else will be fighting for an occasional top 5 spot.

Seems to be the new internet crazy where pro athletes go inside a hospital and get a surgery and then the emotional crazies still claim the guy wasn't hurt. We can revisit some Sexton threads to see the same behavior. Chase roached his knee and then got surgery all because he didn't want to ride the Kawi. Some of the guys on here should be kicked out so the adults can actuall discuss the sport they love without the same guys ruining every thread.

They are called dirt bikes because we ride them on the dirt. The tires are designed for dirt. Most riders only have access to dirt to practice starts as not everyone has the money or place to put concrete or metal start grates. This is the equivalent of Moto GP bikes having to start on dirt when they are clearly designed for pavement.

Unfortunately you’ve just described our society these days. It’s not limited to moto.

Crazy that the only guy to ever win smx on 450s won't be able to defend for the 4x. And that's not even a topic of discussion. This thread shows clear proof of how rabid the fan base is right now. Almost like everyone comes in with a level of aggression even when unprovoked.

Sometimes I don’t realize other people are watching/listening and they don’t want to hear us bickering. Definitely will try to be better about it. Being on the broadcast is easily the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Dream job. Never really know if I’m doing things well or not, just do it the best I can. In the end, we all just love dirt bikes and racing.

The entire clan is a class act. We are very lucky to have them here.....
