All insider trading should be banned, it is no different for the Donald. The President is not responsible for the Federal Reserve and the liquidity that it injects. That’s proven false by all accounts, including his own emails. So if the pardon is durable, then he is safe from prosecution. It would be real interesting if DOJ were to actually file charges to test the "autopen" pardon. And find out who actually gave who orders to create and auto signature the document. It would take years, and for sure John Roberts would find a way to punt it, but it would be very interesting. Since each branch of government operates independently, how can a president of the executive branch pardon someone who violated the legislative branch?
