I've done a lot of book matching on panels, doors, cabinet faces, etc...

over the years.

Nothing that wild.

Would like to have seen the 18 wheeler flatbed pull up to the shop that crafted all of that.

That's a shitload of board feet.

And probably close to a year's worth of work from the time it was unlosded.

Not to mention the harvesting, rough milling, and kiln drying.

Last staircase I built was pretty boring by comparison...

I'm not so sure.

The center section of the treads are clearly spliced in, with a different edge profile. (Not sure how that would pass final inspection though).

And there's a cross cut seam at the bottom of the stairs on the right that makes me think it's real.

Years ago I did a reclaimed lumber floor in Highlands N.Carolina.

By the time the finisher laid down multiple layers of epoxy, to level it out and fill in voids, even standing there it had an unreal look to it.

It sucks that we have to second guess everything lol

the light switch behind the railing still looks off

The perspective angle at the top of that light switch looks correct...
...the railing does obscure the bottom right corner of the switch...  ...so looks real...
...and why would AI show what looks like a baseboard heater in the hallway and not just continue the wood baseboard?

...and I agree, it sucks we have to second guess internet images and all other things we find on the Web...
...thanks Obama!  ...had to throw in some humor...  ...at least it is funny in my twisted mind...
...hahahahaha...
