A lot of KTM’s rigidity comes from them owning WP. It does show how much they value Sexton to let him run KYB or even KYB internals.

KTM and WP have the resources to make new fork caps and bottom lugs to make it not look like TT lugs and KYB internals. There must be some panic to not try to hide this better.

Here's a Motion Pro product that doesn't require fork disassembly and a Zeta inner fork cap that requires more invasive surgery to install.
Back in the day when Howerton moved to Suzuki, his KYB rear shocks prevented him from doing well. He and his mechanic put a set of Ohlins which resulted in Kent winning races. A few races later some KYB boss told Kent he couldn’t run them and put the kyb shocks on and sucked. KYB reverse engineered the Ohlins and Kent went back to being near the front again a few races later.
