Already making plans to go in the fall. Wish more ex-pros would do this type of thing, helping the sport instead of trying to stay relevant for no other reason than to stay relevant or slip into seclusion.

Edit: Don't have anyone in particular in mind about the relevancy comment just a generalization

Nice to see him stay in the sport and not disappear like some other riders.

Awesome. CR22 is a legend. Much better than trying to peddle coffee to stay relevant.

Surprised it took so long for this news to get posted here. When it was Dirt World, it was a pretty cool facility with trails and a kids track, but the moto tracks needed some help. Lots of rocks, jumps weren't too crazy... it was the place to go to if you wanted to ride with your spouse and kids, not necessarily if you wanted to really go all out on some moto.

The aerial shot on their IG of how the place looks now is incredible. And the same builders are heading up the road to 421MX to redesign their track as well... moto scene looking good for us here in Charlotte.

It's peddle, not pedal.

Maybe Reedy will have started a trend....retired heroes creating tracks.

Very cool stuff.

You always seem to find something rude to say.

It's only 20 minutes away from me! That's 2 tracks now within 20 minutes and 4 more tracks within an hour drive!

That guy peddling coffee has more titles than the guy you are calling a legend.

This is great news! If the facility will be open Easter weekend I'm there.

We're still hurting in western NC for tracks/places to ride but this is exciting nevertheless..

He's a legend because he does stuff like this with the track, doesn't fake comebacks and rode at the absolute top of the sport for 22 years and didn't retire scared.

Mr. Reed has also donated quite a bit of his time to Veteran MX and didn't turn it into a publicity stunt. I have nothing but respect for the man.

I live about 45 min from his place. Like Florida, NC is a great place to live for MX tracks. I’ll be there the day they open. Looks like some cool booters on the track.

Moving to the lake Norman area in a few months! Can’t wait to be back in NC

Barely qualifying for mains vs retiring the sx champion.

oh.. And the all time SX wins speaks volume. When you consider who he had to race against to get them wins.

Haha. Qualifying for a SX main 240 odd times is the absolute top tier.
How many night shows you rode in? Don't be shy.

I mean I guess there's only 10 years difference in retirement age. No biggy, eh?
