There are inconsistencies every where you turn and I am sure there are violations by the 10’s and 20’s through the pits and stadium. Swap was the fall guy...

No, Swap was the guy who put out his "How Was Your Weekend Video" clearly showing him in the pits interviewing riders.

If others are breaking the rules, at least they are smart enough to know not to broadcast it. Or maybe Swap is just that arrogant?

Swap burned that bridge too because he thinks he's above it all. Arrogance and ego are his thing.

Sorry, I am 33 years old, so I am not familiar with the term broing out. What exactly did he do to get kicked out?
Watch some old metal mulisha videos. It will become clear.

What riders did Weege interview inside the fence of their Semi? I must have missed that in the video?

The second video does not seem to be at the race site, so not relevant to the rules of the race site.

Please, find me an example of Weege or Matthes interviewing a rider inside the fencing of their Semi, I'll be patiently waiting for the video. It's easy to find of Swap cause he posted it on YouTube for the whole world to see him not following the rules Tongue

So swap gets kicked out but dirt shark can do the same thing as well as interviewing riders with out the mandatory masks on? and continue to do so because he's associated with the title sponsor so I'm guessing that makes it okay? Seems a bit unfair to me 🤷🏻‍♂️
I’d say that makes him an employee, not a visitor.
Much in the same way I'm allowed to go to my work and do my job because I'm employed there but customers/enthusiasts/visitors aren't allowed or must adhere to strict guidelines or get escorted off site.

The riders are always cool with anyone that can give them free exposure.

On their Kickstart podcast today, Swap and Anton said Dirt Shart also got kicked out for at least one race, again for not respecting the rules.

To me, seems like at the stadium the rules are pretty clear and need to be followed. Away from there, well Swap is hanging with Alex Ray, Matthes and Weege with Reed, probably RC, Blair and Ralph are also hanging with riders and teams off site too. Pretty hard to enforce. But at the race venue, Feld and USC have a deal with the public health and those rules absolutely need to be followed.

I don't get why this is so hard to understand

Supercross was stopped for 7 weeks, or whatever it was, and we weren't even sure it'd start back up again.

Feld was able to work a deal, through the Utah Sports Commission to finish up the races at Rice-Eccles stadium with some specific rules and needs.

Doesn't matter if you like them or not, everyone going in knew those rules.

The rules were violated, the violator sent home.

That's it!

Swap was DQ'd. He broke the rules. He ran a big bore in the pits, got protested and was sent home...simple as that.

It really is.

I like Swap, he's always been nice to me. I advertise on Swapmoto. It's a bummer this happened. I assume Anton is in the clear, he'll get the job done.

You are correct, its not that hard to understand.

However, its even easier to become a virologist. Epidemiologist or MD just by watching cable news.

I'm surprised a rider or team manager or man friend or someone never told Donn to come back with a mask. Maybe not so big a deal to the riders, huh?

Isn't that basically the same blueprint the wheelie boys use?

Let’s just say he got lapped 4 times so they kicked him off the track.....they will get that, maybe!

and?
Takes the blame then talks about all the other unnamed media that were doing the same thing. He admitted star Yamaha bro-ed him into getting a pit pass.

The best way I can summarize:
It’s like he got caught running a red light, then tells the cop that 2 other people ran it too. But won’t tell anyone who the other people are.

Are these riders not grown adults? If they weren’t ok with it they’d keep their distance or ask him to wear a mask.

Swap is the man! We’re lucky to have him out there getting great content for us. Thank you swap, most of us appreciate you. Just not these vital squares.

This is America by God. Home of Freedom. We are free to be as self centered, self important, ignorant, hateful, and thoughtless as we can dare to be. I'm ok...f@$! You...loser. Covid probably ain't even real but if it is...it only effects the weak or Godless. Nobody tells me what I can and can not do. I got rights. I saw those protesters ignoring all the rules. I'll show them...I don't have to follow rules either.

I shouldn't have to make a disclaimer but here goes....everything I wrote above is SARCASM. That means I believe the opposite of everything I wrote.

I am not specifically aiming this at Donn. I know he's cool.... sometimes cool ain't smart. But more to some attitudes I see here on Vital and even in my work place. This whole pandemic thing is inconvenient and a pain in the ass, no doubt. But following a few simple rules helps keep EVERYONE safer. Ignoring the rules says one thing...IDGAF about you...as long as I'm happy. Kids do what makes them happy...grown-ups do what has to be done.

Sorry Gibby....I couldn't help myself. If you need to clip me...I'll understand.

So let me get this straight.

Donn gets ejected From supercross for attempting to get an interview from a distance, but then it’s ok to board an aircraft in SLC with people sitting literally inches from from one another to fly home? (Assuming he’s flying home).

Airlines are still selling the middle seat, why is that still allowed?

Meanwhile, Ricky and Ralph are sitting together in the same booth without masks, and using two cameras to give the appearance of them being in different booths?

I don’t mind following guidelines to keep from spreading the virus, but the inconsistency of some seemingly arbitrary rules Is frustrating a lot of rational people...

It doesn’t matter outside the stadium. They agreed to the rules to be admitted inside. He got caught and is paying the price. It’s simple, their sandbox, their rules

Ended with jlaw. Now it’s a bunch of squares that get bent out of shape if a rider goes to a bar after the race. Insane.

The thing with Covid is that there is a lot we still don’t know. Why do some people just loose taste and smell while others die? We are starting to see some pretty bad long term effects on the lungs of those that get it as well. Until we figure everything out, it’s best to play it safe. Is it really such a tough thing to wear a mask?

Ok, on having to wear a mask, since you asked if it was that hard.
There are plenty of reports coming out that say it is NOT HEALTHY to wear a mask for extended periods of time. I’m not too excited about them and it concerns me that some people are being required to wear them all day at their jobs. I’m getting ready to return to work and we are all going to be required to wear them, if we want to return to work. I’m really not ok with it, but I will have to comply, if I want to return to my job.

That being said... Utah made a deal with Feld to finish the SX series and wearing a mask was part of it. I’d guess that the majority of riders/ mechanics/ team members/ flaggers/ etc. would not be wearing one if they didn’t have to. After all... they were all tested already, so it should be a safe environment for all. But, everyone was well informed about the masks and agreed to wear them. So if Swap crosses the line, he lost his privileges to be involved. It’s pretty simple....
I have been a healthcare worker for over 20yrs and wore a mask most of the day before Covid and all day now with Covid. I haven’t experienced mask related issues in that time nor have my colleagues.

When 2 million people get sick from wearing masks and 115,000 die from them, I’ll listen to you. Until then, I’d wear a mask in public if I were you until we get this Covid thing figured out.

No dog in this fight and rules are rules, but it does seem pretty lame that Feld has one set of strict rules for riders/media/crew in the stadium, yet you can go across and have a full on podcast in the hotel lobby, go MTB and have dinner and drinks with the same dudes you were told to social distance from. UFC recently had 2 fights in Las Vegas and after fighters and their corners were tested, they weren't allowed out of "quarantine" until they boarded the UFC bus and went straight to the event. Just sayin

It’s not Felds rules, it’s Utah Sports Commission. Feld needs to enforce what is thrown at them in order to hold the race.
