3/29/2026 3:19pm JGR demands massive money from sponsoring in NASCAR so assume it was the same for MX. They expect to turn a profit racing Al were likely asking for a lot more money than HEP wants. Also a different time in the sport and the economy

3/25/2026 8:03am I remember a marketing guy say " It does not matter if it is good or bad as long as they are talking about you" Still hold true today. Dude gets more attention than anyone in the sport currently. Maybe Jett can rival him and he is just as confident/arrogant. The great almost always are

3/25/2026 8:00am Brian Deegan was a marketing master in his Metal Mulisha days, got give credit where it's due. Playing the bad guy...the villain vs. Travis Pastrana's "All American Good Guy" image paid off greatly. Everybody knows a lot of the bluster and cocky attitude that Haiden has in interviews is manufactured and has been coached by Brian over the years...but it's been successful in creating Haiden's "brand".

3/23/2026 9:26am Because when you go to Loretta's there are not 60 250k RV's and kids with 30k Super Minis. Name someone in the last decade who did not spend a crap ton of money to race. And a big difference between 1977 and 2026. Pretty sure plenty of rich kids do not make it and Money can't buy speed.

3/23/2026 9:23am Motocross isn’t a poor man’s sport and majority of the dudes lining up every weekend came from money. Then of course there’s a hundred thousand guys you don’t see on TV who also came from money and didn’t make it to the big show. Money doesn’t substitute natural ability and hard work. If you want to convince yourself otherwise coping because you’re a talentless nobody go ahead.

Racerman967 Added a reply to Degan docked
3/22/2026 1:33pm So if Deegan wins in St Louis and Antsie finishes 6th or worse it is over in the West. Kitchen is 48 points back so even second does not keep him in it. Deegan would be 51 points up with 2 races left. While this was a questionable ruling it changes nothing.

3/16/2026 3:23pm Different era but in the 80’s Honda had 6-10 full factory riders in works bikes. Star would not change much either likely. Honda would probably invest more and more engineering opportunities.

3/16/2026 3:18pm Honda does things the way they do. At their heart they are an engineering and engine company. They move people around and want versatility from a lot of their people. Engineers will work on a project and then be moved to another division or project. A very unique working environment
