I believe we’re talking about sanctioned, organized race events here. We should all have a reasonable expectation of safety when participating in organized events. There was no flagger near where Aidan crashed. 2 laps and 4 minutes to stop the race. Aidan died from cardiac tamponade, which suggests he was hit. The Zingg’s spoke with a couple of the riders after the race was stopped. They were allegedly inconsolable. The race promoter tried to give a different account of what happened. In my 50+ years of following this sport, I have never seen anything close to Deegan's asshattery at tonight's race. He needs to be banned from racing - permanently. What a miserable human being.

Before this season started, I had JuJu running very near the front. I thought he showed promise, and I still do. Now for the opinion that will bring the downvotes. I believe he ought to sit out SMX, recover completely, and be fit and strong both mentally and physically next year. He is enjoyable to watch, stays classy, and can run with the fast guys when he is “ right “ !

I know the feeling. We have the AMA Medical / Safety Commission who are responsible for these types off things. Go here: MedicalSafetyMembers25_26-1.pdf For contact info for all of the members of this commission. They have the power to introduce rule changes with a focus on health and safety.

8/21/2025 12:29pm Please establish a safety oversite committee with powers to make AMA tracks safer, set standards for promoters in regards to flaggers, race director, ect. , and rules for racers with penalties for dangerous racing. That was my boy that qualified at Thunder Valley last Saturday. It was his pro debut and to go qualify at his first national in the 450 class was great! I wish I could ride that good now. I'm just an old man that takes his kid to races to have a lot of fun with his son. He got a lot of nerves out the other day and should hopefully be able to do a little better next time. He did go 33/37 with a fall down each moto, but that was ok with me. Was stoked with how...
