Just saw the first video was posted about 14 hours ago. Thought last years were good, but man I can't stand some of these parents. Watching the new episode now.
There looking in awe of the DBP getting a good jump & 40 ft lead on the start . This weekend is gonna be funny there dads yelling what the hell . You just got pulled by 50+ yr old on the start on a 04.
The way these parents are focused on the results is crazy. It doesn’t mean shit ur kid won an overall in a 65cc race. Rider development should be the focus
That’s what makes it entertaining.
Or really at that age, human development should be the goal

All I know is that whenever I said to my kids, "You'd better win or I'm selling your bike!" or, "Shut up before I give you something to cry ABOUT!" they would just laugh, because they knew I was joking and they were about to get tickled. Some dads say that shit for real and it's heartbreaking.
I found it cringe
One thing i’ve learned throughout this series so far(i’m on episode 3) is that im not a fan of regan’s dad, even last year i wasn’t a fan of him. I’ve become a fan of the cantu family and jayson smart. I watched the lewises on youtube, so i’ve became a fan of them. Really sucks that moto mav broke his femur. Cant wait to see what Cantu and Smart can do at loretta’s.

That British dad has a punchable face, all the dads are morons, they'll push their children away from dirt bikes with how they talk to their children.
I'm surprised that a pipe broke after 50 hours and the old man expected it. I doubt pro circuit would be stoked about it
I’m no saint and did let a couple of expletives slip in front of my kids when I lost my cool over the years when they were young.
But the constant F bombing from Cantù and Heighton especially when directly talking to their 10 year olds makes me uncomfortable to the point that I don’t want to watch. Maybe the kids are numb to it at this point.
Ya I like Reagan and want to see her do well, but I do not like her dad and the way he talks to her.
Same with Cantu, Zayden seems like a good kid who put in the work to get to the top in a short amount of time, but his dad bothers me with some of the stuff he says about results and all that.
I like Mav and really hope he can figure out how to maybe back it down just slightly to limit the injuries because he's had a few in the last year. Like the others, he's a California kid so of course I want to see him do well and succeed. I like his mom's videos, but something about them still bothers me, I just can't put my finger on it.
As far as the Smart's, I really liked them last year but it seems like either they've changed a bit or this year we are seeing more of who they really are as parents. I like Jayden a lot, but I can't help but feel like he is going to burn out. I hope that's not the case for his sake.
I will say that I really like this series and think Camworkx does an awesome job. Some of these parents and even the trainers are putting too much pressure onto these 10 and 11 year olds. Maybe it's just me getting older and being a parent to kids around that age.
Crazy the dads in these videos wake up every morning, look in the mirror and can’t see that they are complete losers. Sad really.
My daughter and I have been watching the episodes and can't believe how bad these dads are.... Cantu's dad is probably the worst I have ever seen. WHY is the moto community tolerating his behavior at the tracks? Typical wanna be Coors Light drinking, Dude this Bro that Cali douche. Very entertaining to watch the train wreck every episode, but the constant Fbombs are ridiculous and uncalled for. I think Reagan's dad must have seen what a douche bag he was on MotoDads 1 and this season has changed his tune and chilled out more to us. If the producers of MotoDads 2 had any balls they would tell Cantu to lighten up OR maybe his wife would say something to him because once he sees himself on film, he will regret it. My daughter thinks its all for show and he wants to be the star character...she may be right.
Most of these people just got into the sport yesterday and have no perspective. I bet if you asked them what the plan was they would say go pro and if you said and then what they would just stare at you.
Its like this in stick and ball too.
I have a hard time at some of these games.
I have had to get into it with my son's mother about some of the butt riding. These kids have the rest of thier lives to let life take a dump on them. Let them be children for awhile.
Regardless if only 1% make it, if you didn’t have these families none of the past champions or current ones would be on the gate. Love it or hate it this how you get to the top. RC, JS7, RV, AC, ET, KR and Lawrence brothers all traveled the same path. The list goes on and on. Sure there might be a few outliers but not many. It’s not always pretty but this is where all sports have ended up, training and chasing the dream from a young age.

Even if you have no moral objection to some of the parents behavior and don't care at all if these kids end up needing therapy, acting like so many do is totally counterproductive from a results standpoint alone. This is not how you get the best out of anyone, but especially kids. Acting like that is just a giant sign that says I'm ignorant AF both as a parent and coach.....
add in the psychological impact it has on the kids and it's honestly just a stain on this sport that this kind of behavior is accepted.
Just picked up the series in the UK.
Jaydin's dad was so chilled last series. Now he's joined the ranks of wanker parents. Expectations are higher now he's riding for the blu cru.
Episode 4 when he barrel rolled the bike, his first thought was oh no we're out of it now. I'd be sprinting over to see if my kid was ok.
The expectation is too high at such a young age. Nothing is certain that the older and bigger they get they will continue to thrive.
Zayden Cantu, what a rise in such a short space of time but his Dad is a control freak and a complete helmet.
As for the language he uses speaking to Zayden, it's disgusting. Effing and blinding at 10 year olds is not cool. Wife too scared to say anything. Limited vocabulary, and if he tells us he only pushes dirt for a living once more FFS..
Stephen Heighton, you are giving Brits a bad name. You are so full of shit.. Always hammering Reagan, she tries her best all the time, but it's just not good enough for him..Doesn't seem to grasp someone has to come second, third, fourth etc.
Leaving his younger son in the RV with a broken wrist so Reagan could finish out her motos. Unthinkable.
Mav's set up is the best to watch, obvious to the cameras they spend all their money trying to make his dreams a reality. Love Kirsten's social media coverage of an off the gate looks at what goes into making a champion.
Kudos to CAMWORKS superb coverage of the racing and and insight into parents mentality.
Hats off Zayden, Jaydin, Maverick and Reagan you are all killer racers.. And all seems really level headed kids.
Pity the same can't be said about 3 out of 4 of the parents.
Anyone who's raced knows what a trainwreck moto-dads can be. There was one dad whose kid actually gave up racing because of him. The kid had cased a triple on the 80 at the time. Absolutely yard-saled across the track, helmet barely on, not getting up. The dad, Coors Light in hand, ran over and started berating the kid for falling.
On the flip side, there were families with both boys and girls racing. It was a family event, and everyone rooted each other on. It was really cool. But sadly, the first type was much more common.
I still have PTSD from watching moto-dads while racing.
I don't think you understand that there are kids who literally can't qualify for a regional qualifier who are living full time at training facilities. The insanity is out of control.
Reagan’s dad bothered me quite a bit last season. He seems to have mellowed this season. I’ll assume he took a bit of heat for how he was. I don’t dig some of it. However, these kids are killer racers and level headed because of their parents and the kids effort they put in. Some of it is too far, I’ll agree. Jaydin’s dad seemed mellow last year but they were winning without going all in. He’s moved up to 85’s, it’s more competitive now and you can see his Dad’s approach has shifted.
There has to be something said for when you hear nearly every pro racer in the paddock talk about the shit they took from their Dad, or in RC’s case, his mom. Tony Alessi was no joke. AC and RV’s dad the same. The list is endless. I don’t agree with “truck” saying the kids need therapy after. Now if the kid straight up doesn’t want to race and you’re forcing it, that’s completely different. Pushing your kids for something they want is a fine line between asshole and supportive if they truly want to try to make it to the top.
I understand completely but we aren’t talking about those kids. All of these kids have been to Loretta’s and Reagan got in for the first time this year.
