After taking pole in qualifying and proving he had the pace, what happened in the motos? I don’t think the announcers mentioned him a single time.
Put him on a 450, Drew looks bigger then Marchbanks out there and I think he’s barely 17 lol I was wondering the same, but I assumed he just got horrible starts.
I think we’ve seen more fastest qualifying times from Q1 then is typical this year. When the fastest time comes from Q1 it’s pretty insignificant imo, the track is so much different by the time they race on it.
he did the fastest time in Q2.

He just got horrible starts. Made 15 passes in moto 2. From 27th to 12th. Pretty solid!

In Moto 1 he got a bad start too and mustve had a crash shortly after, see in the following stat from moto 1:

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Incredibly talented rider, but he's going to get too big to pull off a career in motocross. I hope he proves me wrong.
He doesn't fit the normal motocross jockey body type but let's see what he does, he's still so young.
He should get a 300 kit from Amazon
Every 7 pounds of weights costs you 1 horsepower is a rough estimate I think. Adam's is down 4 or 6 HP to alot of these small guys he is racing. Surely that is part of the story as to why his starts have been poor. Dude has to be 190 maybe 200 pounds? And he will only get heavier as he fills out.
I mean, is he that much heavier than Garrett Marchbanks?
Garrett said he's 185-190. Drew is around 180-183.
And both seem to struggle to start up front…. Seems there might be something to this.
Both are likely to be better off on a 450.
Yeah if anyone needs to be fast tracked to a 450, its Drew
Thanks. So, to be clear, I am not complaining about his performance at Unadilla. I was just expecting a better result based on his qualifying pace. Clearly he found some fast lines in Q2, but just as clearly (for some reason) wasn’t able to make use of them during the motos, compared to someone with the same weight disadvantage. In any case, I will be looking to see the young man do well at Budds tomorrow.
Yaa I don’t see Mitch being very happy with seeing his bikes in 18th and 20th with Masterpool. I thought Drew would be up in the top 10 consistently and more so doing what Marchbanks is doing. I know it’s Drew’s first year, but he’s been underwhelming to me, but I think being a 16-17 year old rookie signing with PC carries some weight to it and getting top 20s isn’t good.
