Saying “pull that shit again and I’ll kick your ass” makes a statement. Saying “I’ll kill you” makes you sound like a whiny, overly dramatic little baby.

Either way, it would’ve been priceless if Alessi would’ve gotten up and decked Phil after he talked shit.

Don’t like either one of them, either, so zero favoritism.

Where was is farm?

I always heard things like: "If the cows ain't out, the windmill's busted"

Or: "Never put your finger where you wouldn't put your pecker".

Or: "Put that bull in the trailer with those heifers, he's going to fuck from here to Abilene ".

My favorite was, "I don't even like cows".

Oh, if you don't have a sense of humor, farming or ranching will kill you early.

That's the point; Phil only picks on dude's laying on the ground with no real defense.

Glad to know I'm not losing my marbles, and what I saw on the video is what actually happened.

I saw it too, Alessi powered up the inside and Phil squirreled out trying to make the pass stick

Racing incident. Phils rear end came loose and that caused him to drift to the inside while Alessi vad committed to the pass attempt. That is called racing and this is coming from me who likes Philty Phil.

I assume that Matthes also realizes that and is only trying to create a bit of drama for his show.

From what I've heard my whole life, he was very quick on his feet with wit. Farming is what killed him early, so I never got the chance to meet him. But between family, and his many friends, I've laughed my ass off at witty things he said/did to handle daily life. 2 quick examples......
1. Grandpa goes to the sale, gets rid of a few head. Him and a buddy stop at a bar coming home and have a few rounds, he proceeds to get a tad lit. He then comes home to Granny smelling kinda ripe, and she goes apeshit. "How could you do that??? We promised that young preacher we would listen to him this afternoon at revival!" He just smiled and said "What's the big deal? I'm his target audience, his kind are just dying for sinners to show up."

2. He loved his chew, either plug, or twist. Being on the farm, somebody would always want to bum a chew. So to stop someone from being a repeat mooch, he'd always give them one he cut off with his knife. Then, just as they put it in their mouth, he'd say "there ain't nothing better than moist chew, and I have a secret to keeping mine just right."
When they asked, he'd say, "I piss a little in every new pouch I get, keeps it fresher." They would either spit it out, vomit, but would never, ever ask for a chew again. If he was lucky, they would do all three..... Grandpa was something special!

Priceless.
Thanks.

Uncle Bob used to say. "Sure, have a bite. (Speaking of his chaw) I only have 2 "back ins" in it.

I never asked Bob for a chew.

Saying “I’ll kill you” is generally really stupid. Suppose you say that, hit the guy, and he falls and hits his head and dies. Unlikely, but it happens - I know of a few incidents. You’ve just expressed intent. That’s a big problem. If you’re going to express intent, just express what you actually intend (eg “I’ll kick your ass”). In this case, he didn’t actually do anything or even seem to intend to. Just blowing off steam - no harm no foul.

So if Phill has a little mix up next week. On the track and some how accidentally gets tangled with MA800.... Results to an injury.. Can Alessi press charges saying he move was premeditated after his off the track confrontations... Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. just saying....

From my experience, you never have to worry about the guy that comes up and threatens to fight you .(or kill you in this case)
You need to worry about the guy that walks up and punches you in the face.
I like Phil, but you can only act tough for so long, without any action to back it up.

Phil riding great, Alessi picking up steam after the break, and Goerke starting to feel like his old self.

I'll fuckin' kill you? Should have his ass escorted out of Canada. There is no place in racing for that kind of threat. If Nicoletti can't take it he needs to quit. If someone screams that in my face I'm taking it seriously. I wonder what his sponsors think?

Check the last page of the link I posted on the first page. I posted the images/text of the penalties.

They have 3 days to appeal.

If anyone in the scenario was being a bully, MA would get the nod as he straight punted Phil off the track (which I have no problem with I might add, I think we need more aggressive racing)

And if you do not see the irony in having the handle of “prizefighter” while saying you would press charges after someone says hurtful words, I don’t know what to tell you

It's called being an adult and trying to avoid a fight as much as possible. Phil talked shit to a dude who is smaller than him, and showed who the bully is. Keep it on the track, Alessi did nothing wrong.
Millennial pussies that insist on constantly using the word "bully" when involved in a sport as gnarly as motocross should probably take up something more appropriately suited for their fragile ego like tennis or knitting.

Just my $.02

I'm not sure what Tony did. As for riding backwards on the track, that was done once they both crossed the finish line. Both guys turned around facing oncoming racers.

If they appeal (which they will) I think that's the only one that's stands a potential chance at being dropped since the race was over. That said, other racers still hadn't crossed the finish line so an accident could've happened. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance that one could be dropped.

As for the other penalties, pretty certain those will stick. They're not too lenient when it comes to the rules.

cheers for the apply,

i think Phils DQ for threatening behaviour is well justified, the video does not show the riding backwards which is what i asked,

the team manager explanation seems to go to before the start as well,

I think we’re all over analyzing this. Put yourself in Phill’s head for a second and imagine you just rode your fucking balls off to get to the front and the second you make the pass for the lead you hit the other rider “who has a history of punting guys off the track” and your off the track and you watch him ride off in to the sunset to far ahead to make another run at him. Please tell me your blood wouldn’t instantly vaporize from frustration. So after the race, completely heated he spoke his mind of what he was feeling that exact second. With out knowing all the facts. It just means he’s passionate about what he does. No he doesent want to kill Mike Allessi, he was just pissed he lost the race and got hit. I’m sure after he saw the footage and realized it was a racing incident he calmed down a little and probably regretted what he said. None of you have ever wanted to throw your helmet or curse on the way back to the truck because something went wrong in your moto? I know I have plenty of times. I’m just super competitive. I’m not Phill but I would imagine wining this championship means a lot to him so that is most likely why he got so angry. Yes I also understand that he is a professional racer and there are cameras around. I’m sure this will be a huge lesson learned for him. I know there’s been plenty of times racers do this after a race. Just so happened there were cameras around this time. Just my two cents from a dumb ass mx racer.
