Your last paragraph shows the problem. ‘Get to mx2/mx1 asap’ Why? Why does the AMA run the series like MXGP with predetermined age limits. Granted this would take at least a couple of years to bear fruition. With no way of jumping a class EMX125 - EMX250 - MX2 - MX1 (unless you are TGaiser). If you think about it...

If Roman was so concerned about what was happening why didn't he stop on the leed up to the incident area and lay his bike down and flag the riders down. I can guarantee they would have stopped racing and forced a red flag.

Mentally, look at the mistakes - Jo at SMX & Davies at SLC. Instead of trying to win he went for the take outs. Granted SMX was for the championship BUT why be vain enough to not just ‘settle’ for 2nd 🤷‍♂️

I remember walking into a local surf shop in North Carolina around 2004 and the guy telling me that as a moto journalist, I should check out this local kid named Cooper Webb. I found him to be an extremely determined, smart and talented nine-year old. It has been absolutely phenomenal watching him capture the dream that every moto rider wants. He deserves every dollar and accolade.
