Sure it's fine for you and me, but I bet Kenny and Dungey appreciate their super nimble, on the weight limit bikes at the end of a main more than Chad and Cooper like their blue bikes at the same time.
Have you ever ridden a YZ450 back to back with a new KTM or Honda? The Yamaha feels like a giant slow turning cruise ship.
I do ride, and I have ridden a bunch of different bikes.
These crack me up everytime I look at them

Seems like history has repeated itself.
Handled it just fine. Yes I have ridden a 2016 YZf450 back to back with a 2016 SXF450, the KTM is a fine machine but in no way makes the YZ feel slow. If anything the Yamaha feels more stable, easier to lean lower to the ground through those cruise ship turns. The KTM was nimble but finicky in rough sections. Less weight doesn't always mean it's better if it compromises stability and predictability.
Pit Row
The bikes now are all so damn good. Roczen or Dungey could win on any of them. They could probably even win on a TM. It's more of the rider than it is the bike.
I think the only win on a yamaha will be Reed and thats if he still has a little magic in his bag
He pretty much said in the post race interview that it was nerves and setup and that they knew what they needed to do moving forward. I would be surprised if he placed the same this coming weekend, I fully expect him to move forward and not be struggling with guys like Bogle, weimer and Grant.
If he never does come to terms with the bike, he will end up somewhere else, just like all great riders do. That's a ways off though, if ever.
And there have been AMA wins since then......
2. The Yamaha is no good for SX.
3. It's too heavy.
4. All of the above.
5. Most of you are sub-Vitard.
I'm going with number 5.
Im going with number 4.
get comfy on the USS Pacific Princess with top
tier riders with years of 450 experience on an SX track. He will get better but I believe he would be a consistent podium and SX winner if he would have had a year of outdoor 450 racing.
Post a reply to: Webb??? Will Yamaha ever get a win?
