8/22/2026 9:03pm Then why'd you start a thread by grousing about flowers? It seems if you were genuinely happy about progress toward curing cancer, you lead with that.
TheGetFresh Added a reply to Cancer vaccines
8/22/2026 6:45pm It’s your thread and you’ve yet to give your opinion on mRNA showing promise on cancer treatment. Why don’t you stop trying to bait someone into helping you make whatever point it is you’re trying to make? Maybe—crazy idea, but bear with me—instead of posting a news link and saying it’s going to hurt some flowers around here, you could...

TheGetFresh Added a reply to Court filing: 284 DOE grants canceled, all but one were in states Trump lost. Fair or political?
7/29/2026 8:39pm You need to fine tune your prompt because the AI doesn't understand the issue here. Not sure which model you're using, but Claude seems to be the best for legal questions if you don't have access to Westlaw. Your answer addresses congress giving money to states. I've stated from the outset that this isn't what we're dealing with. The matter...

7/29/2026 3:12pm But do you have any argument other than “government can’t do that”? What’s the basis? Why can’t it? Like I said, this is a question of administrative law and it’s more of a technical issue than can be addressed by a broad statement about what government should and shouldn’t do to the states. Not to mention, the states themselves aren’t...

He was granted a pardon by the previous president. He knows that perjury is the only way he can be held accountable for his actions, past statements, etc... Everyone knew he was going to do this. And yes, more than likely he's going to skate on everything he is responsible for.

7/29/2026 8:43am So Sasquatch said: The Tenth amendment makes it unconstitutional to force states into enforcing federal law. So wouldn't it be unconstitutional to hold funding back because of it? That would be forcing states to enforce federal laws ,wouldn't it? And I was pointing out that the concept he’s thinking about commandeering, which isn’t really connected to spending and isn’t really...

7/28/2026 10:30pm Thought this was going to be a thread about dad jokes. I have an 8 month old. I show him pictures I took of him within the past few days and tell him "look, that's you when you were a baby." I find it hilarious.
TheGetFresh Added a reply to Court filing: 284 DOE grants canceled, all but one were in states Trump lost. Fair or political?
7/28/2026 10:26pm No. You're thinking of commandeering. Withholding federal moneys from a state is a valid exercise of the federal government's spending power under South Dakota v. Dole, 483 U.S. 203 (1987). In 1987, Congress passed a bill to withhold 10% of federal money to states if those states did not enforce a 21 year old drinking age. Went to Scotus. Feds...

'Shithousery', as it's known, is part of modern Football unfortunately. Tactical fouls are used both offensively and defensively to disrupt and control the tempo of the game, gain positional advantage if you're attacking in a dangerous area or to relieve pressure when defending deep in your own half. To 'win' a free kick you usually play for it and feigning injury is a way to convince the referee in that split second that you've been definitely been fouled. It looks pathetic I agree, but it works and games can be won or lost because of it. Players will often spend...

Daft concept but a bit of fun for a RedBull promo. FYI Jordan Pickford (England Goalkeeper) is a Motocross fan and is good buddies with a British Championship rider named Carlton Husband. If wasn't for his football career taking off he said he would have liked to have raced himself.
