I used to ride but had to quit some 8 yearsago when i hurtmy knee pretty bad. I started working with mx back then insted, and still do this running my own company.

I love 2strokes, prefere motocross over sx, so I'm pretty oldschool i guess.


My favourite riders are Mickael Pichon and Christophe Pourcel.


I'm 33years old, married, two kids and not enough time/money to buy a bike just for fun.

BTW... I think 4strokes are the root to all things evil in our sport. They are expensive, sound ugly, makes the racing less demanding etc. I could go on 4ever. I hate them...

Hello Shmoo, I googled hyperbole so I know what that is know... I was 4-6years old back then so I don't what happened to the mx-scene where you live(?) at that stage, please enlighten me... BTW I still think racing a 250 vs 250f's is a better solution than what we have today. How can more expensive and complicated equipment...

Thanks mooch. Themrtoad comes from back in 1992 when I had a YZ125. When they tested it in an american magazine the described it as "Mr Toads wild ride" since it wasn't very fast or powerful. the OEM wants to be racing in front of a market that can buy their products. YS thinks the future is in Asia, South America etc. Do they plan to sell lot's of expensive racing machines? probably not more like scooters. I tend to agree with you on most subjects and this one as well. SX can exist on the same logic as Nascar. However when you twist and turn the rules and formats for a sport to fit tv and spectators that's not really into it from the beginning, you loose the hardcore fans. C'mon guys motocross today is a few "pros" of which many is close to bancrupt racing in front of fewer and fewer spectators on more and more expensive bikes. Can't you see something is weird here. Ride them both for 60h and try to sell them. The twostroke will be gone quick, the fourstroke will be harder to get a fair amount of money for. Lot's of riders are afraid to buy used 250f's because if they break the cost of repair is the same as what you bought it for. That's when you decide you...

Is there an agreement between the manufacturers that we won't compete with a bike that will beat yours. I thought racing was about winning? Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki shouldn't be that worried since J-Law or Marwin was winning on a bike which there is no demand for. They should feel good that they don't produce or put R & D...

Interesteing perspective FTE. I often wondered about that in the GP's. I can see KTM putting a lot of cash into that serie, but the other manufacturers is "small" players indeed. As a starter I like to compliment you for keeping the 250class open for riders suited to smaller bikes regardless of their age or what they have accomplished. FIM have set up rules to make riders move on to the MX1-class, and I dislike that. Why would a small light guy be punished for winning? Makes no sense to me...
