Seewer had issues at Yamaha, Kawasaki and Ducati and his current stint at KTM is not to write home about either. I think Watson is a capabale rider, but misses that elite status and talent. Evans got plenty of oppertunities, but injured all the time, and staying in one piece is a big, essential part of this sport. The current Kawasaki’s under Iceone are very good and competent bikes. What they did together with Akira and their inhouse team on both the 250 and 450 is very impressive. I think they are right there.

With the greatest of respect to Toendel, i cant see him lucking into a second factory ride , even with the same manufacturer. I would take Gifting over him, but he is a legit rider, just wasnt prepared to ride in MXGP on a non supported ride, its way easier on a stock bike in AMA, than it is in MXGP. Who would risk going there ? If Jonass is out , which i think is still a possibility , the fact that they are struggling to fill what should be a prime seat is bizzarre. For the first time...

He did, and still does. But we don’t know how fast he would be on a Honda, Ktm or even a JK Yamaha. Febvre might be fast on anything

Febvre did alright on it last year... This would be a good opportunity for Gifting if he was offered it.

With Renaux locked in at Factory KTM, Febvre at Ducati and Vlaanderen with Honda SR it´s indeed not looking great for Kawasaki to sign a top talent. Seewer is out of the question for obvious reasons. Fernandez is rumoured together with Jonass and Geerts, but nothing materialized as far as I know. Maybe that Gasjer can get out of his contract with Yamaha? but I don´t expect that to happen without a fight, so who they could consider? If even a Star Racing engine can't make him happy enough, maybe he will push to leave? Vialle has a multi-year contract...

I am sure i heard over the MXGP broadcast that Fernandez was going to Yamaha to replace Renaux. With 2 new manufacturers now tapping into the rider pool (Ducati and Triumph) its even more important to develop talent in the lower classes. I have to say , that with Coenen's leaving , the time for a good US rider to come to MXGP has never been better. Nobody in the US now is going to beating Lawrences, or Coenens any time soon, long term, even less, only Deegan is on the upslope, everyone else is timed out and on the...

Yes I guess it’s possible they ask Gifting, but as a swedish fan I would rather see him stay at JK. I don’t think the bike is that great, and Seewer, Watson, Evans would probably agree. I agree they should look outside the mxgp paddock by now, but I can’t suggest a name that pops up.

I still wonder who will ride Kawasaki 450 next year. Jonass still has no offer, and Febvre had no idea when I asked him. He even suggested no 450 rider perhaps…

I have to say that maybe the racing wasn’t great, but IRL it’s not that big of a deal really. The area is beautiful and the trip from Stockholm or Gothenburg to Udevalla is genuinely nice. Also the the atmosphere is one of the best and this track has also some parts that are unique and really cool to watch in real life that you can’t really see properly on television. For me one of the best GP’s of the year together with Trentino and any GP held in France.

Not the easiest track to race a smoker. But that race is so cool! Proper Mx, with lots of spectators and they are almost standing on the track !

Probably right. De Carli have a fantastic trackrecord, Honda MX2 hasn’t done much since Gajsers title 2015. It’s interesting to see young promising riders get picked up, deliver/ don’t deliver. Mikula is still riding without the pressure of a factory seat. Lata has been given multiple chances but hasn’t delivered. Grau was promoted very young but lost his status as...

Thanks for noticing! Alve rides for our team. It actually was his 4th GP of the year and he did a couple of EMX rounds. He is very young (17) and it is his first year on the 250, but he is learning very fast and getting used to ride at this speed as well. Funny thing is that he is not a sand specialist, his favourite type of soil is more like what we had at Loket last week. At Sweden he will do the EMX250 and at Arnhem MX2, hopefully he can show himself again to get good...

I disagree. I’ve been coming to Lommel for a few years now, and I’ve seen the amazing speed of Lucas and Kay in person, but the total domination I saw from Herlings Sunday was nothing short of incredible. His bike broke during Saturday qualifying twice, but he still managed fast time and a win despite the problems. His Sunday performance in the motos was Jett Lawrence x2- no active rider on this earth would have gotten near him, Lawrence’s or Coenen or Prado or even Tomac in his prime. I have never seen anything like it. Downvote away but I...

Yes - but there was plenty of 'racing' shown among the others, to. Me - I can watch and enjoy a race, to see the lines, the way a bike works, the way the riders deal with 'things', explore different lines, have 'moments' that they deal with, successfully or unsuccessfully. I'm Never bored by racing - I think a casual viewer might have that reaction, or, someone wanting to slag a series, or riders, but to anyone Really into racing, there's always something to watch / be impressed with. Our sport is So Bloody Dynamic, compared to the vast majority...

Even when the racing is a runaway like Herlings, it’s so impressive seeing how fast those guys can go in those treacherous conditions. Shame De Wolf still isn’t 100% to offer more of a challenge in the sand, but the master still rules. MX2 was great racing as always and Stefan was um, interesting, in the booth.
