Although Stewart was faster than Canard at A1, it was not like he was just sitting there by any means. He actually ran with him for a bit.

Has anyone ever caught, passed and beaten Stewart without James crashing? I remember Roncada gave him fits at a couple races but don't remember if RonRon actually beat him or not.

After passing 8 other riders, yeah maybe stewie was a little tired. 2 laps to get by Canard, is that bad or something? We'll see if Canard ever passes 8 riders and then catches Stewart only to pass him.

Canard is a great rider no doubt, love the kid. But is not that apparent how far back Stewart came to finish third to the other title contenders?

Right. Interesting too is that Canard was right in front of Windham when Stewart caught K-Dub and it seemed to be several laps later before he closed in on Canard and at the end he was only about 2 seconds ahead of him. Canard learned a lot in just that race. He's gonna be up there this year.

RV's done it CR's done it an d if TC does it which is entirely possible I'd say a healthy and stealthy CP would too(making his stock all the more northbound but thats for another thread)- These young guys are just a tick off the fastest but on pace. like Ive said soo many times there is only so fast you can go before wadding and James seems to hit that mark...When these guys close that 3/4 second and I said When it will be a one two start to latch job, to perfect laps, to small bobble, misstime or slight slippage and theey take the lead-

I recall stewart being behind Canard for 12 or more laps before the pass was made. Stewart got first or second gate pick and canard got 19th gate pick. Trey made a small mistake coming out of the turn to let stewart make the pass.Then stewie could not pull away from him...watch what i tell you because it will happen this season if they all stay healthy.so to recap,If the fastest man on the planet gets first gate pick and the rookie gets his 19th gate pick and the rookie leads him for 12 laps and finishes within two seconds at the flag.I think the fmotp is in trouble.

stewart used to be able to win from a start like the one he got at A1.......now all he can muster is a 3rd and still way back off the leader even after RV backed it down........either he lost a lot of speed or everyone else wicked it up.......it definetly wont be a cakewalk this year for him

LOL. Canard is not ready to race Stewart. never will be. The differance in talent and pure speed in huge. The only way anybody makes a straight up pass on Stewart is if he is on the ground.

RC is the only guy to pass Stewart on a SX track for a staight up win and Stewart was hurt. Pretty scary stat if you ask me.
