TDC Added a reply to KTM 125sx - TSP "Power Kit Plus" review.....

The small bores actually get strong low end power right! On technical trails it's like an electric motor. Almost no clutching. Just lug it and twist the grip. Everybody gets the power down like a pro and shifts can be made in a much wider rpm range. No bad shifts. Always in the 'meat' of the power. And yes, there...

I've been running the new STIC Super X2 carb, US cast Keihin clone modified body with unique internal metering block circuits. Makes smaller bores savage right off idle thru an extended stronger top end. Comparing jetting specs to a std Keihin, 45/178 vs 80/200! The pilot actually reverses flow and feeds right above the main jet. It sources air/fuel vapor...

Imma wondering if he runs any STIC products. I've read that Steinke ran the metering block. You don't even have to worry about if you shift too early, bc there's no longer that narrow bubble. That classic mid hit gets placed a bit above idle. I can't even get a laggy pilot jet throttle response on my 200SX and I...

The above cutaway block pic shows the shorter pilot and a threaded plug to the fuel bowl. Between the two you see a rod exhibiting the X passage connecting the pilot chamber to the main jet tube, just above the main jet. Below you can see the air correction jet at the lower intake bell. When the pilot reverses flow...

FYI, there is a new STIC Super X2 cast carb now available. It's a very clean cast body made in the US! It has better tune-ability and includes the 2nd half of the complete design. Once RPM's leave the idle circuit range, the pilot circuit reverses flow and feeds air/fuel vapor to just above the main jet. The STIC likes...

I found the G2 #400 mud cam returns the throttle control and range back to stock. I've got the even more potent STIC Super X2 carb on my 200SX now and I made sure I ordered the G2 and installed them at the same time. My 115 tube tune was too abrupt for jumps right out of turns, sketchy 'point...

This unit is based on a more advanced version of the STIC metering insert block. This design has more tune-ability and brings a more significant power level to the lower thru extended top range. The bore is 40mm/38. The body casting quality is at a high standard and design is based on the PWK AS series. Short Body and Screw...

For the price of a re-valve and springs you can buy used SSS YZ forks or partial front end. All you have to do is shim the stawk bottom triple clamp. I 1st swapped to Showa 1st gens, that required upper and lower shims. They say 2nd gen are 'day and night better, FYI. These should be cheaper.

Similar to reducing the exhaust pipe hole you can close up the air box. Keep the back fire screen, or through on a second "skin" on the air filter.

You can also put a smaller end pipe in the silencer. We use acrapovic and there its really easy to put in a smaller one. PC should have a spark arrestor or something you can buy that fits yours that you can modify if needed. Go smaller until you get it as tame as you like. Will give it less of "snap" and be more quiet as a bonus. Next step is to lower the compression (dual base gaskets). Those mods with what you allready did should make it really nice and smoth.
