11/9/2023 3:07pm I am very, very close to putting my kits up for sale. My kits will drop into the 2021+ XACT forks without removing the lugs and without modifying anything on your bike. You'll supply your own cartridges and springs from the donor bike of your choice. Since nothing requires modification, you can revert your bike to stock WP when you sell it. Technically, you can install the KYB stuff with the forks and front wheel still installed on the motorcycle by removing the handlebar. The best way will be to remove both fork legs, then do a traditional fork service...

11/9/2023 1:52pm You can put the wp uppers on the kyb forks so you don’t have to do anything to the clamps. That’s what I do. I’m using a ktm front wheel with spacers shaved down (like mentioned above) and using the brembo brake. To use the brembo I used an oversized rotor hanger for a ktm (luxon was supposed to make hangers for the conversion but totally bailed on it). Had to re drill bottom bolt hole. I’ll post photo of it after work today.

11/9/2023 6:14pm That's a brilliant tip for sure. In my unique scenario with what was on hand, I was curious about specific things and did get the improvements I wanted. Can't say that I am even able to detect the different in triple stiffness. BTW, the less aggressive Nissin brake feel works for me. The only snag was that the '23 upper...

11/9/2023 5:10am Hit the tracks. The swap was beneficial to both bikes, it seems. The 300/KYB with cast 20mm off-set triples. No more dead feel and it flies level now. Stable and the front still sticks. Nissin brake is less sensitive and power was fine. The 200/WP hybrid with billet 22mm off-set triples. I only had to place a 2-3mm spacer under...

11/7/2023 1:44pm The day after I bought my used '24 300SX, there I was so contented at the track. What do I see? The smiling seller already had his new YZ450 across from me at the track. Keep in mind the satisfaction you provided to the new owner. lol No, that's not your purpose?

11/7/2023 1:33pm I loved my 23 300, had a mind fart and sold it 🤦🏻♂️. I was going to buy a 24 yzf450 but I think I’ve come to my senses and another 300 is going to be in my van soon.

11/7/2023 5:26am So far the only things different are the ID's of the stem bearing and upper dust cover/spacer under the top triple. Issue with shrouding interference with the frame...dernnit. So far, WP and billet triples, easy peasy onto the 200SX.

11/6/2023 5:05pm There are ppl doing it, some use resistors for the fuel pump and TPS, but there are also degrees of what can stay in place, but not wired up. The PV will still do the same mapping based on rpm. I guess there are minimal changes, as well as full retro fit, 'Cept for the ePV. More than one way...

11/6/2023 12:06pm I remember the hype being DFI with all of it's promise. FI is not that. I hope the majority of bikes are indeed trouble free. With rebates already considerable, why not go retro and buy a carb airbox boot...etc. Then you can tune the power and avoid all the mapping and electronic (potential) hassles. TPS carb for best outcome, I'd...

11/5/2023 8:12pm Just wanted to see opinions and what my actual results will be. I find the 300 fork a little dead feeling with its Ohlins hybrid set up, but it works well. It's just that I got to thinking about my 200SX KYB set up with a FC re-valve. It just might be what the 300 needs and the spring rate...

11/5/2023 5:46pm Actually bought it over Memorial Day weekend for a great price. The 22 CRF450 sold 3 days ago. I'm back where I belong. I'm also at the tail end of a lengthy ACL recovery and have about 5-6 more weeks before I'm riding again. In the meantime, I have boxes of parts piling up in the garage ready to be installed.

11/5/2023 5:42pm Ohlins cartridge in mine. Plush on the chop(sprang ) and no bottom out(air). Now with lower air pressure, the air spring doesn't ramp up as quickly. It's important to maintain the balance. If the spring is too soft, running the air up will get the air spring harshness. Though great on the track, front sticks like glue, but there seems...

11/5/2023 5:05pm Seems the effort is wasted on weak content. But these are not professional journalists, nor do they geek out on performance tech. Now when it comes to gear, graphics and bling, they are as informed as the next fashionista.
