In reality I don't need a time machine, I need $31,000'. That's what the truck in the picture recently sold for. The chances of me getting a time machine or spending 31K on a 44 year old mini truck are about the same 😐😄 Too bad Toyota didn't just keep pumping those out like the CG160 in the other thread.. I feel the same about my 2000 Tundra that just past smog again with 366,097 miles.

You can change the shock damping characteristic to match the new linkage, assuming it's in the same ballpark as the original linkage. Glad it worked out.

4/15/2026 10:14am The swingarm is an exact fit. Winning If not the same shock link geo, with a suspension servicing, I'll get the correct shim stack done for this 05 linkage, if necessary..

+1 for STIC, as I understand it the holes in the emulsion tube get the mixture spinning up past the needle which really helps vaporisation. I know five bikes running STIC 150s and 250s and they all got the same excellent results across the rev range, also, they run cooler. Hard to believe I know.. STIC likes the viscosity of 40:1 (Castor 927).

4/14/2026 7:02pm The swingarm with its shock link was at a machinist shop for repair and the dang place burnt down from a transformer fire. If it is wrong at the pivot, I will hit the guy up for trimming things down. The 125 shock clevis fits the 05 shock link just received. Appreciate your input.

Hard to imagine how a carb could extract more power without altering anything within an engine. Especially in the case of a 40mm carb on a 125 at low rpm vacuum signal. So, how to get...

Got this 10 years ago out of Utah...after this picture in the garage, I pulled off the spoke skins! Rode it for a year but had bad sciatica and had a hard time with the high kickstarter. Hated to sell it because it worked really well. Mid 90s motor, 295cc big bore kit, and 2007 KXF frame. One of the strongest running bikes I have ridden in close to 50 years of riding. Not all conversions went unridden!

4/12/2026 1:57pm I've rolled the dice on an 04 KX 250F swingarm and 05 RMZ shock link. $110! The design looks the exact same, where as after 06 the design is obviously different. The KX250 swingarms are a rare commodity. Fingers crossed

Yeah, it isn't a sick race build from an elite tuner, but it'll provide a broader and more versatile powerband.
