Why do you want an mx bike to idle for more than say 10-15 seconds? No factory racer back in the day idled for more than that.

Right! I can put one glove on and I need to blip it for the next glove. All about Crispness. Blame it on 4t's. Mtn off-road for years and no stalling. Just a blip and no stalling issue. YAAAT

Sweet 2hun, I had an '89 that dominated on 70 mile all day mtn loops. Today for my 200SX, I ran a STIC carb meter block in a 38mm PWK and now their Super X carb. The smaller bores get exceptional low to mid power with an extended stronger top end. Pretty much a 'day and night' contrast in power level. Strong enough that for MX I run the slowest turn G2 throttle cam, as to make it not too sketchy. Low end is seemingly unstoppable, yet top end is like having another gear.

I use single stage urethane for frames. Its the closest look to factory and very durable. The 2k aerosol clear is just an automotive type clearcoat....its shiny and resistant to some chemicals. Ive used it on vintage fuel tanks. No matter what you use, a set of frame guards keep the bike fresh. I like to put thin padding between the frame and guards like strips of doublestick tape.

A 125X buddy prefers the MX insert over the XC/SX insert for trails, as it has the free rev'g broad powerband.

I have a 125X buddy that richened his up after it destroyed his complete top end. But he likes it on his now kitted 144. D'oh! I do think he lacks experience and just kept riding it, even tho. it wasn't running as well as the prior mod'd Mikuni.
Keep us posted! Very intriguing ...

If you want to have your bike rip more like a late model carb KTM, but also end up with a lot more bottom thru mid and ultra responsive throttle. The STIC Super X2 carb by STICSuperTorque.com will work a treat. You're basically never out of the powerband. A buddies 125X w/7oz FWW, 3rd gear @ 1700 rpm and ham...

That purchase would be your biggest power gain ever and that's with pump gas. Best to match it with a throttle tamer, otherwise all of the bottom to top mayhem is delivered below 1/4 throttle. I powered up to the STIC Super X2 carb and went with the slowest turn G2 cam on my 200SX. Much safer with a return...

I think my 2016s are dated but then I ride my friends brand new bikes and mine do everything there’s does, they’re paid off, and I know it inside and out. Any fire drill I’ve ever had to do before a race is like a walk in the park for me because I’ve framed these bikes so many times. I couldn’t imagine getting a new bike every year or two and having to learn all the ins and outs all over again. Hell man I rode my friends 2022 300XC with all kinds of bells and whistles the other day...

Defo go with the Super X2 carb. The carb has the complete design and in its milder delivered tune, it is stronger than my largest STIC block internal needle jet tube. Use the contact email. And if the time comes, PM me for any assistance in maximizing the tune.

Budget for a 3rd gear lol jk. I don’t know what the cost of an oem crank is, but getting yours rebuilt with a wossner rod kit wouldn’t be a bad idea and could save you some money. I have boyko do my cranks. He also has some good porting specs for those cylinders

I've used two-part primer in an aerosol, it has a push on activator release 'button' in the concave section at the base of the can. I've also used pre-mixed 'use within 2 weeks' 2k paint in an aerosol. Both are better than a standard cellulose or similar aerosol, but it is certainly not a solution for a frame. I can see Epoxy primer and 2k/2 pack paint (or whatever it's called in the US) out of a gun being fine, it's gotta be that or powder coat for something that'll last and not look terrible in 6 months time.

You will not be getting laughs from the Dutchman. I think they take things quite literal, especially conversing in a foreign language.

Lectron will be soft off the bottom. Maybe that helps traction and is less tiring as well. If you want more beast mode grunt and over-rev that matters, a used Keihin and STIC metering block is the ticket. Eventually this will be a no-brainer, but until then, power is left on the table.

4 yrs with STIC products. I'll curb my enthusiasm here. If it wasn't for the batch of bad pilot passage alignments, the issue is the tuner. I can say that with confidence, bc I know my track and trail results do not reflect what you reference. Does it occur, certainly and that's your valued information source. I get it. Though...
