I have a Keihin/STIC to sell. I bought it brand new from STIC, so it wasn't a used carb I had laying around and put the STIC metering block in. I had it on my 2018 150SX. I'd say I rode the bike maybe 10 times. I traded it in and got a new 125SX, but I kept all of the aftermarket parts that I could because, as we all know, they're worthless to a dealer. Honestly, that carburetor is a game-changer on these.
I didnt want to say that because I felt like it would be just responded to by "dramatic much"...
Dude that thing was a murder mobile lmao. It was so fast and the hit was so hard that one of the most difficult things about riding it was not overjumping everything by 20 feet. I just got off a 250f and was so used to just holding it wide off of everything that it was just too much to deal with honestly lol.
I must be crazy I ride my 250sx more than the 150sx. Both have 38mm pwk's installed. I bought my pwk's from jd jetting with their jetting kit.
On my 21 150sx I need to lean it out a little bit. 50 pilot blue needle 3rd clip 195 main. Gonna go to a 190. Just did the first top end at 18 hrs. Piston wash said lil rich. The one reed petal was slightly open on the corner.
I just put a rad valve on it want to jet it better. Before I write off the 46 rear. Thinking about trying a 47.
Not off the top of my head.... we have 2018 125 and 150.
New pwk from JD jetting, stic insert and 52, 55 or 58 pilot, 205 main and red JD needle. 6.5 slide

I love my 2013 150SX although it is getting bit outdated. It has ported cylinder, Bud Racing cylinder head, Bud Racing/HGS pipe and silencer, WP SXS TC forks, WP Trax Shock, Pro Circuit linkage arm and heavier flywheel/stator from 125EXC enduro model. The engine has really broad power band and heavier flywheel makes it much easier to keep rear wheel hooking up. I'm definitely faster in the corners with the 150SX than I'm with my 250SX. I'm currently running #200 main, #45 pilot, NOZG needle jetting and the bike feels very crisp. I have heard a lot of stories how good the STIC metering block and it would be interesting to try that but shipping and added taxes makes it very expensive to get it here in Finland
Funny enough a friend of mine is a really solid rider, technically very good and a true racer and die hard two stroke guy.
He's always had this tidy RM250 around which he's real familiar with, besides other bikes.
Seeing a modern tc250, with a guy he was clearly visually riding 'faster/better' than, gap him on the straights at a recent race was a little eye opening. Catch him on the brakes, way better corner speed, ahead on corner exit, Husky rockets away by mid straightaway.
Now there is the new STIC Super X. I'm glad I installed the tamest G2 throttle cam, it keeps it controlled mayhem on my 200SX.
The trick feature is the pilot reverse flow above intermediate idle. It feeds air/fuel vapor from the intake bell to just above the main jet. I installed an 80 pilot! Std PWK is 45, so this is a serious performance increase.
Expect a dramatic reduction in clutching. Roll-on out of turns for whoops and jumps is impressive.
I think my 2016s are dated but then I ride my friends brand new bikes and mine do everything there’s does, they’re paid off, and I know it inside and out. Any fire drill I’ve ever had to do before a race is like a walk in the park for me because I’ve framed these bikes so many times. I couldn’t imagine getting a new bike every year or two and having to learn all the ins and outs all over again.
Hell man I rode my friends 2022 300XC with all kinds of bells and whistles the other day and it didn’t do anything more than my 2005 200 does for me in the woods. I’d love to be in the position to have a brand new bike, but I think riding would be a lot more enjoyable for people if they weren’t trying to keep up with the Jones’.
I plan to keep the 20 and 22 125s we have until they are no longer rideable. Only have 140 hours on the 20, and now about 60 on the 22. We know every damn part and like you said, we can fix on race day almost everything short of a blown motor. Plus will all the crap I read about the EFIs and performance issues plus 10lbs more ain't no way I'm changing now.
The 125 classes at LL's this year were not a good marketing ad for the EFI bikes
I plan on riding both of mine until the steel frames are stretched out like a chopper!
A boring soulless automatic driving machine.
Oh man , I found this out and had the same experience back in 2017 when I bought my Husky TC 125. After I modded the airbox , good exhaust , milled the head slightly , PWK with a STIC installed.....to say I was impressed would be putting it lightly. Once you get moving , keep the momentum going , they are just as fast around the track as anything out there.
My experience on the 125 is different from most guys on the whole stamina thing. I try and be as smooth as possible , but I'm also an aggressive rider. On the 450's , at my age , it was a recipe for disaster and I would get winded by about the 8 min mark. That little 125 let me push as hard as I could going into the 20 - 25min mark. I saw myself start reeling in and beating guys on 450's that I wasn't beating before , while on the 450.
One of my best buddies in life ( Wardy , you know who you are ) Talked me into giving that 125 a chance , and still to this day , It was one of the best pieces of advice as far as choosing a new bike...anyone has ever given me.
Question : If the 2022 GasGas is carbed , is the 2023 carbed as well? I think they are 1 year behine the Husky / KTM 125's right?
Been there , done that.
I have a pc motor on my mc150 with a keihin carburetor. If you ever see me at tomahawk come over and take it for a spin. You think the 125 is good. This 150 will blow your mind!

2023 was the last year for a Austrian 125 and you could only get it in red
I totally feel the same way with my 150SX. I know the engine inside out like the back of my hands and gathered good spare parts reserve over the years. I know what suspension and carb settings works with the bike for me and it would take a lot of time and money to set up completely new bike good as it. Every time I jump on the bike it feels just like well worn shoe with everything in it's right place
What is that yellow tape on the gas tank for? Ive noticed it on many built ktm 2 strokes over the years. Is it some kind of heat reflecting tape to keep the fuel cool? Ive been wondering this for a while but never asked, but now I see it again in here.
Here it is on deegans supermini.

Would guess it’s reflective tape of some sort to keep the fuel cooler?
Pit Row
Yeah it’s heat tape to keep the fuel cool. I’ve boiled the race fuel I run on some pretty hot summer days and lost a big lead due to it so I don’t take anymore chances. I also use the foam chunks in the fuel tank to prevent fuel sloshing.
Same here with racing my 125 in the woods in an “Open” class. In the fields I’d get gapped by pretty much everyone, I’m light, and pretty decent on a 125 so it was never a handicap in the tight stuff for me. As long as I maintained my pace at 80-90% the whole race I would wind up passing 5-10 guys in my class on the last lap just because they were so beat from riding bigger, heavier, and more powerful bikes. Where they were sitting down and letting the motor do the work I was still able to ride my same pace and move right past them without much fight. By the time I’m back to camp after the race I feel like I could fill the tank up and go do another two hours.
I might be interested in the carb, hit me up with the details.
That purchase would be your biggest power gain ever and that's with pump gas. Best to match it with a throttle tamer, otherwise all of the bottom to top mayhem is delivered below 1/4 throttle. I powered up to the STIC Super X2 carb and went with the slowest turn G2 cam on my 200SX. Much safer with a return to full range throttle control.

Quick clips of the 125s from that day.
Looks fun where is the track ?
Posted this in another thread (the GG is 10lbs lighter and at least 2 more hp than husky and KTM)
Tomahawk mx in hedgesville wv. Can’t say enough good about the track several of my friends regularly make a 4hr one way drive to go there. It’s worth it.
Wv. Truckers call it the hillbilly. I think it’s a beautiful state constant hill curve. The town is not in the atlas index. I ran i77 to i64 to rt35 countless times. I77 on a mtn looking down Wv. Has the coolest looking trees in the country. I77 n into Ohio has to be the most fun rd in America to drive . Best designed rd the hills & curves allow 70+ speeds & constant g forces r awesome. The track has a good flow too.
Finally got my 150 out, super fun with the Keihin carb. Still need to put the head insert in and then it should really be a rocket! Happy to grab one before everything goes EFI.
My pal just bought a new 23 for his 15 yr old. He was doing great in 85sr on a yz. The Mc kept dying. They figured it out it was the float sticking. He never rode the bike & missed practice. His kid didn’t think the bike would stay running. So he didn’t sign up for 125 class or 125 jr. Just 250c concrete start , deep sand track with hills & a lot of jumps. Moto 1 - 5th on the start finished 1st. 2nd moto holeshot crashed yet finished 5th. I saw his bike in the shop . I think it looks Really great. The bike looks way better in real life than internet pics.
