I came across a story from French publication Moto Verte that I thought was too cool not to share. We know a passionate enthusiast who has remained young at heart, even if his creations are far from mere toys! A former elite enduro rider and BMX fanatic, Fabien Rolland expresses his passions down to the finest details—so much so that he spent endless days in his workshop working on Jett Lawrence’s CRF450, built completely from scratch at 1/9th scale. A colossal undertaking, elevated by a masterful result: a truly unique masterpiece. "I think I’m a little crazy... !" A little...

It is my right Schlüsselbein and it is a very irregularly shaped knot for sure!! No plating - no wiring - just a figure 8 strap and out the door. Took a long time to heal. Braapppp

Gaildorf If I recall was around 10th or so. It was my 1st ever race on a CZ in Germany. Gailforf was so Awesome! For year end 74 and 75 I finished in the North Championship 2nd place behind the Maico rider for Kramer Maico and in the South Championship I was 2nd behind the rider who raced Hans Maisch's...

When I rode ADAC JR Series in 74-75, you had to send a letter to the Organizing Club requesting an Entry, They then accepted the request and sent the entry form to you, you filled out and sent it back, then they sent it to you with your riders number for that event and you used black oven paint to...

Dramatically underappreciated early pillar of our sport. A lot of moto fans think the sport started here with the Trans AM in '70, but the reality is bad ass dudes were ripping on dirt bikes as far back as the 50's in SoCal, they just called it scrambles, and desert racing was the most popular format. The actual roots of our sport is District 37 desert/scrambles racing. JN was one of the first guys to treat the sport with professionalism. He looked for advantages in his equipment, one of the first to ride Huskys. He looked for advantages in his...

First race was aboard a shop prepped AT1 125 that I purchased from Renton Yamaha (Seattle area) in 1969 for $450.00. 21" front wheel, GYT Kit and Straight cut gears. Next trip around the sun in 75. The addiction is strong! My current bikes (that I prefer) are a YZ 155 and for offroad a YZ144. There is others in...

Damn! Don Rainey is 82? Makes me feel like a kid (I'm 67). I was racing around the Houston, TX area back in the mid-late 70's and "Diamond" Don was racing for the H&H Music race team. I wasn't in his class (Open Expert) back then, but got to meet him a few times. Cool guy, and I wish I could have attended one of his vintage events over the years.

Just turned 70 and not at all down hill. Have 4 bikes and get to the track a couple of times a year on my 2stroke. Retirement is awesome. There is a lot to look forward to for motocrossers in their youth - my first race was at 16 as soon as I could drive myself to the track. Change your poll to "70 Plus - can't wait to ride this week".

Portrayed personality aside, Deegan is having an impressive start on 450s. He is unfortunately being compared to two guys who are just that much more impressive. Haiden set high expectations with his cockiness but if we are fair, his performance is impressive.

I had the opportunity to race MX in Germany 73-75. To do it over I would go back to Germany / Europe and do it again! For all the reasons you listed. As for the % analysis I would have to ponder that a bit. Racing in Europe was an awesome experience as it teaches and promotes skills not particularly...

This Pump Track was a couple miles from my home when I lived in Salem Oregon a few years back. I spent a fair amount of time here. There is also a dirt track. I was 68 years young at this time. This kinda of riding will kick the crap out of an older man🤣 Albany MX was 20M away
