8/6/2023 5:25pm This thread has been a reckoning for me. 1. I think…hell, I know..:there are some crazy ideas about how many kids/riders live and train at “the compounds”. 2. There’s a father-n-son team, here in, that is MotoAF…& we need to get them some solid support. 3. There are some seriously butt-hurt and angrily bitter mofos that can’t let go of the fact that there are families that go seriously deep for moto…and it’s sad…and pathetic…and, fuck it: I’m not wasting anymore time on those bitter little douchebags. 4. Matthes, if he TRULY cares about this sport…needs to get some of...

If I had “Brown talent” & could R U N N O F T from every other 50 year old MX’er on the planet, I’d be stackin’ the swag like cordwood while all them ol’ sumbitch’s chased me till I was a hundred years old! 🤪 👍❗️ Vital would be bitchin’ about that motorick butthole that keeps showin’ up/killin’ it in the Master 50 class and won’t even give anyone else a fair chance until at least 2065! 🤪 💥❗️

Zoom Liked a reply to forum topic “Factory editions” in Limited classes at Loretta’s?
8/3/2023 10:19am Its the exact reason why I bought a KX450SR for my son last year. The B class is so competitive. Lap times are very close from around 3rd through 15th at Regionals. Starts are even more important. As it turned out, he didn't make it in 450 B or 450 B Limited. He made it in the College Class (18-24) which is mostly A riders. Hard to believe the year before he was in the C class!

8/2/2023 2:36pm Anyone paying attention to what Ford has been saying about EVs lately? Taking a $4.5 BILLION loss on them this year, far more than the huge losses they projected. Admitting they aren't close to being profitable yet. How many rounds of funding did Rivian go through before they went public and watched their stock prices tank? It really doesn't matter how great the bike is if the business model doesn't work and you don't have a parent company to keep you afloat. It seems pretty clear to me that's the reality Stark is facing. Putting out a few bikes here...

7/28/2023 5:20pm Just saw his "All for fun" Vlog from Washougal and goddamn. To even finish the first moto was commendable, but to go out and finish 10th after being as torn up as he was is insane. I haven't been a huge Forkner fan, but I am now. That dude is tough as shit.

7/26/2023 1:37pm Hey Sandman, with all due respect, how can anyone 'feel' an engine mount? I see all this 'flex' stuff, but, belive none of it is noticeable in any way. For a start, Knobs on the tires, large flex, the tire itself, flex, up to an inch? Suspension, over 12 inches, your knees, over 12 inches. Even the soil we ride on, at times has 'give'. How is anyone ever going to notice .001mm of movement in an engine mount? Again, honest question, I don't see these things make a lick of difference in handling. Someone please fill me in, I...

7/23/2023 3:24pm I’ve never really been a Forkner fan mainly due to his cocky attitude early in his career. Having said that, I now feel myself rooting for him especially after all he has been through the last couple years. The kid can’t buy a break that’s for sure! Hopefully Ryno can help him get on track and back to being competitive. Heal up AF!

DRT Liked a reply to forum topic Welding a YZ250 Frame? Any welders?
7/22/2023 4:55pm The frames are made of 7005 Japanese spec which is 7020 UK spec. 5356 is the rod to use, it will age harder and is the only 7000 series Aluminium to do this, thus you will not get a brittle HAZ, it will get stronger up to around 60 days but it will be fine from 2 weeks in as that is the greatest strength gain. weld the inside first, allow to cool then grind the weld from the outside and then weld and linish flat, it will be absolutely fine.

dirtwalker Liked a reply to forum topic Welding a YZ250 Frame? Any welders?
7/22/2023 4:55pm I would strongly caution against welding. The HAZ (heat affected zone - the material next to the weld) of welded aluminium usually is badly affected be welding and has reduced strength and reduced fatigue performance without PWHT (post weld heat treatment). To manage that you need to know the alloy and the temper including its state post manufacturer- e.g. did yamaha heat treat the whole frame post manufacture and if so how? Contrary to a post above 7000 aluminium is difficult to weld and is dangerous welded without extensive pwht. If used well 7000 series has good fatigue properties (handle...

Murray the Beagle, and I are all ready to go.

7/21/2023 9:34pm I think the bike looks cool, but choosing a 30 year old colour scheme to celebrate a 50 year anniversary is a bit weird. Should have been silver/ red/ black.
