Anyone seen the “Factory editions or SR/WE” bike in the Limited classes at Loretta’s? Where are we at with that in the rules book at the Nationals? Or did they just make few enough to not get those bikes Homologlated?

They're legal. That's how they come from the factory.

No different than the KTM 50 SXS and 85 SXS from back in the day.

No homologation rules at the amateur level.

Thanks.. I’ve been debating on purchasing one in case my kid wants to ride next season.

Its the exact reason why I bought a KX450SR for my son last year. The B class is so competitive. Lap times are very close from around 3rd through 15th at Regionals. Starts are even more important. As it turned out, he didn't make it in 450 B or 450 B Limited. He made it in the College Class (18-24) which is mostly A riders. Hard to believe the year before he was in the C class!

What a nightmare it was when KTM first did them. I reffed a few area qualifiers and I spent a lot of time explaining it to people.

Wrong. They were all homologated for amateur competition.

What's the minimum number of units needed to homologate a model in amateur racing?
