Y'all are so caught up in defending pros it's funny. You literally can't see where I'm coming from, at all?

Honestly, my initial opinion was toward the "sportsman" designation but it sort of morphed into vet wide this year.

I never said made money. I may have said "made a living" or "making a living" a time or two.

If guys want to ride on the same track as them, go to the vet nationals and ride vet A with them, where they should be. No one's racing brown in his current classes because he's admitted hes sandbagging his ass off just to stack titles.

Are any of you still racing? Ever been to Lorettas to race? I'm genuinely curious. I recognize a few posters coming at me for having the opinion that I do, and I feel like it's ok to have the soft spot for your pro buddies that you do. Seems most are defending someone vs their self at this point.

I can promise you that my opinion is actually more popular than most of you want to believe, but it is. Im just the only ahole on here vocal about how silly it is. I've had complete strangers meet me in person and tell me they agreed with this or that that I've posted regarding the subject.

Don, that license argument is silly. Again, once a PRO has built that skillset, it doesn't go away. I don't know what's so hard to understand. They have professional level skills. Period. That license don't mean crap. 15 years ago you could just buy one with a local rep signature. I know guys that bought them just for credentials and never had a shot at making a night show or main.

One more time, I respect and admire alota these past pros. They're legends. I just think that seeing them race 40 hour workin dudes is laughable. I'm glad they like to race and ride still. I admire browns work ethic. I just believe an AMATEUR national isn't the place they should be cherry picking for continued "fame".

+25 Vet Pro. (See, they can still race here)

+30 and up should have no fast 40 guys in it.

It's not hatred, but it's something I believe in, in a sport I've been immersed in my entire life, so I post about it, on a moto forum.

I don't post looking for acceptance from dudes who aren't and haven't been anything but fans. I def don't really care what west coast forum moderators or fans think of my opinions. I'm not doing anything thing but creating moto conversation in the appropriate threads. Nothing against forum rules.

Like I said, guys standing up for pros are either a past pro or someone completely irrelevant that will never race a qualifier let alone Lorettas. Comin at me cussin me like Peterson was throwing a temper tantrum cussing MX sports on facebook when they made a rule change before last season (which they changed back because of...... Whiners).

Hoping maybe the powers that be see the light and some of those guys do frequent this spot.

I agree with this 100%.

Most defending the pros (especially the elite pros who have scored pts for several years) being in the vet class at LL have never and will never race a regional or LL.

I feel like alot of dudes either never raced or gave up racing when they were very young and just dont give a fuck about the "vet" classes bc they want to see 25+ basically be a pro national for entertainment purposes. Thats lame to me. Some us have raced our whole lives and will continue to race. It would be nice to have a class where you can make it to LL w/o having to race a top 10 group that could go race qualify for any national they wanted to rn.

Here come the blowhards "earn your spot" la la la.

I also just don't get the argument AGAINST having more vet "sportsman" classes. Like why is it a bad thing to have classes where you cant have scored a pro point? Bc they are "slower"? Who gives a fuck. If people wanna try to qualify for LL and spend the $ then why do you care?

I know in today’s society everyone wants to feel like they win an argument(myself too at times), but can y’all all let it go.

Not only can they not let it go.....they are crying about it in multiple threads..... Every. Single. Year.

Any protests so far? Some very interesting lines being used in the first lap on the straight away after the start, going into that left hander.

Can these guys stay on the track? By the sign board at the start they are going off the track on the left. I’ve seen like 3 off track excursions in this pro race.

Man I wish he wouldve stuck with husky. Down hill since the switching started..

Announcers commenting on how slot car'ish story land is. Hope they freshen up a little. Track did look better today early on. Thought it might hold together a little better than it is.

In the girls class, Hayes deserves a shout out.

It's a mother daughter story! May be a first of it's kind???

Her step mom is Martinez in the WMX class who has been a WMX racer for lots of years. She says this is her last go around at the ranch and she only did this year so they could ride the ranch together.

Those last 2 "fast guy" races were interesting.  Beaumer dominated and Cochran showed he's got the speed, running 3-4 seconds a lap faster than the other guys...  Fun races behind Beaumer too, Bennick looked off a little, guys going past him that you really wouldn't expect.

It’s mostly people just being smart asses.

Just rewatched 250 pro sport. Not sure what happened to Bennick. He was moving forward then faded pretty suddenly. Beaumer got a much better start today. Fineis had the most impressive ride to me. Came from far back and passed a lot of good riders to get to second.

I was wondering if he maybe was hurt?  Not knocking the kid, but the Schoolboy 2, or 250B kids could run off and leave him (several others as well....).    And he has a contract next year with Bobby???  Looks as though another year in the AM ranks might benefit him unless he's riding injured.  Expected much more.....
