I'm at 80 hours on my 25SR with no issues. I put in a clutch at around 40 hours just for piece of mind after hearing about a few failures otherwise just regular maintenance. This gen is really good, I haven't even replaced the chain guide.

Ah yes personalities and the human condition. For the better part of my moto life, 45 years, when you rode motos, things broke. You fixed them so they would survive or you sold the bike. It was part of the deal. No buy back expectations. No attitude with the dealer. Just part of the deal.

Man this was a roller coaster 😅 I've been in the powersports industry most of my adult life and only had a run in with a small handful of customers with this type of attitude the OP is showing. I had a customer last year buy a new ATV and after a few hours of riding he noticed a small oil leak. He came in fired up saying "I want my money back!" "I want a new ATV". Our poor service guy tried calming him down reassuring him we'll take care of it but he didn't want to hear it...

It's a cultural/ generational thing. Old people can be dumb, narrow minded, etc. like any person of any age. One thing some can possibly gain with years only is a broad perspective. Wisdom only comes with that perspective. I can tell you between 30ish and 40ish I started recognizing changes in culture. Things we learned and were taught started becoming too difficult for the following generation. Unacceptable behavior became acceptable. Its at the point now where many think its a privilege to an employer if the employee even shows up for work much less do their work well. Bad news...

I don't know much about this but, it sounds like the bikes were part of his dad's estate. It sucks all around and I hope the stuff winds up in a good museum.

Warranty work you almost always lose money and the factories don't give a shit. And about bringing your own parts to the dealer I had a guy from a another dealer say "Do you take your own eggs to the diner?'' haha Everyone is getting squeezed for money right now. It just makes people unhappy in general.

Yes they can. Why would I send this guy back to another dealer? The guy worked at another dealership where they tell you a price of $4995 for a KX450 and then once you are there it is now $9000. Why does that matter? He loved doing it. I don't like that shit. He doesn't work at the dealership anymore but he has bought multiple machines and not one time called us for a price. He drove 4 1/2 hours to buy them. He breaks the door panel and thinks he is doing us a favor letting us warranty it...

I'm not saying that I would buy one. Just that the way this guy is posting is making him look like a major dick instead of hurting Triumph more. There is enough info out there that points to them being a risky bike to buy and this thread repeats some of the same info and then adds on a person who sounds super intitled and insults other posters who are offering help. Couple things, if I may - after Covid, the restaurant experience was not near as pleasant; the service, the food and the prices lessened the enjoyment.
