Been attending races in the So Cal sun since the 1970’s. Part of the expierence is getting there when the gates open and staking a claim to provide some shade. I agree Ez Ups lining the fence is a bummer. Hangtown has many terraces that allow Ez Ups while still allowing direct at the fence watching. More of this setup...

Gcrites, Maybe you and my photo tell the correct story. The tank was fitted on a 1991 250. The depression for the coil seemed to be the location of the interference. Did the coil get relocated on the 1991 125? Do both 1991 and 1992 250’s have the coil in a different location from the 125’s?

Well since I found the spot, I will post the project that I did with my son. This started in Covid but we were never able to find any good base bike. I wanted more that just paint and replace parts. With items of this age, there is slways more than meets the eye. We saw this bike run and...

Hello, I was the proud owner of a 1991 300 MXC. Some of the best days and some of the worst. Several times it just stopped. Pulled, pushed, kicked nothing. The next day 1st kick. Power valve. 3 times piston hit powervalve. Flapper broke off. Piston ring groove damaged. Motor was always operational. Broken piece bounced around in the pipe...
Now I know where all the great vintage bike builds went. After COVID and the passing of Newman, The Old School section was never the same. I blamed it on the youth. This is amazing work. I know the build is not there yet, but which methods / sources are used for fenders / number plated that will fit in...

I have a set of Duyba wheels with what I believe are Haan hubs on my 2020 KTM 300 XC-W. I had an issue with the wheel spacers right and left. The spacers in the wrong position would not allow the caliper to mount centered on the disc. Easy check.

I had an old Baja Designs Squadron light with a mask for a 2014 KTM. I called them up on the phone and was able to purchase a headlight mounting plate to fit my 2020 KTM. The newest versions of the Baja Designs lights take the pounding of years in Baja without missing a beat.

For general knowledge about KTM products. When reviewing a similar issue, I found this situation. I have a ‘24 KTM 500 EXC. In 2024 with about 5 hours of run time, the starter would engauge but not turn over the motor. It would produce kind of a ugh groan. After hitting the button several more times it always started. Mind...
With a transmission, I have been told that there are gear mating issues on 2 surfaces. There are the gear teeth and the shifting dogs and their corresponding pockets. To resolve shifting issues, any visible disruption on dog or the pocket edge needs to be replaced as a pair. ( dog and pocket) Now from a gear running longevity perspective...
