Eli has 7 wins this season, Chase has 5. He didn’t back in to the championship and he didn’t quit when he kept crashing while leading. I’m an Eli fan, but the asterisk championship narrative is at best laughable and at worst asinine. Give credit where credit is due.

How many races did tomac win by default when he wasn't the fastest guy? What happens if you took those points away in your assessment of deservability. Big conundrum you have there huh.

It’s not really lucky, Chase had elite speed all year. If you go down the luck road, you could argue that the rest of the field was lucky Chase kept crashing on his own with big leads early.

Remember when Chase kept crashing while leading. Some of the people on here talked so much crap about him, so for that reason it’s satisfying to see him win. He didn’t fold when he kept crashing. He won races straight up, so to say that there’s an asterisk with it isn’t objective. Personally I was pulling for Eli, I thought that he had this one in the bag and could just coast in. Chase seems like a good guy, I get that if he’s not your guy then you might say that he didn’t really win, but the truth is...

I'm impressed that he's kept at it and has not folded despite his shortcoming in his first few years those aren't easy to get over.

Dude just achieved what he’s worked his whole life to accomplish and he handled that interview with lots of maturity, remember he’s only 23.

Real fast guys just sweep out around you. Maybe he thought he had you cleared, but he didn't need that line and should have just stayed wide. I would have at least said I was sorry and offered you a drink or something. Good job not giving in to your emotions.

Not much to think about....it's going to be the same group of guys that show up to race every single weekend.

Remember when the pro tracks were required to install gates on concrete starting pads? Then the teams started whining and they went back to dirt. I bet the tracks that probably had to tear out 140' x 10' pads remember.

The biggest issue for MX on TV is that in many races they can become non interesting with racers seperated by 8-15 seconds which becomes boring for more passive fans. Supercross has battle through the field and is much easier to show on a smaller stage. What will be interesting in the next several years is if top riders for scheduling simply prefer 17 Sx races and 6 WSX races

Since I've attended many outdoor Nationals I have more of an appreciation for the riders riding those tracks. Hangtown and its off cambers, Millville and it's steep hills, both are brutal to do lap after lap at race speeds. Plus seeing Stewart basically jump over Milsaps at the the now defunct Freestone TX National on a jump combo that wasn't supposed to be a jump. So I like motocross better, and I'll be totally honest, I can easily fall asleep during SX and have done so many times. Lucky I DVR them to watch later.

MX separates the men from the boys. I would love to see the riders being able to sell their own merchandise at the races like nascar. This would really make the experience of outdoors even better.

You jumped online , to post this here on Vital. You could also jump online , go to Peacock and pay $4.99/mo to watch all the races. Are you saying you can't afford the $4.99/mo? Or are you saying that you just refuse to pay for it like everyone else , and then come back here and whine because you couldn't find a free stream?

Peacock has been the best coverage by far in my opinion. Also get to watch other stuff other than moto. It’s the only tv coverage I buy, and for the price I won’t bitch. I used to play that you tube game too…. Not worth it.

Saw them post this last week I was super surprised and excited. Bussin with the boys is an awesome podcast with one former NFL player and Taylor Lewan formally of the Tennessee Titans. Huge podcast in the sports world so lots of eyes on it. This is the kind of stuff these guys need to be doing not only to grow their sport but grow their own persona that can only help after retirement. If podcasts were around back in the day Jeremy Mcgrath would of certainly taken advantage, guy knew how to grow himself and the sport.
