Maybe the Supercross trial didn’t quite go as they hoped? I know they are still very young but we’ve been hearing about these kids racing in the US for awhile now and it keeps getting delayed for one reason or another. I’m starting to think they just stay in Europe and do their thing there.

I agree with most of this, but if a rider goes to MXGP for a few years, we probably don't hold their number in AMA for very long. I understand why some people like the old numbering system, but reality is, we discuss fairly regularly that privateers don't make enough income from racing. Allowing them to brand and market around a set number is helpful, and in my opinion better anyway. I propose taking it a step further. It benefits fans, riders, sponsors, and our sport in general. I don’t know man, when I was 6 all the riders got new numbers based on how his they where and it was awesome seeing all the new looks at the opening rounds. I don’t think we where any smarter back then and we figured it out pretty fast.

Idk Man i don’t think the casual fan is too concerned about who’s who if they’re only popping in a few times a year. I see the concern but I don’t think it’s really a big deal.

Cooper Webb going from 6th to 3rd at the end of the extremely muddy Foxboro race. He jumped the finish line jump (on the last lap?) and passed Sexton and two other's shortly after that.

Kenny winning at Daytona, Mookie winning in Tampa and then (I know, this is outdoors but...) Martin snagging the win on his home track to call it quits really made it a feel-good year for the sport in a lot of ways.

Pump the brakes a little. It can be a legitimate professional series without having to prove its better than AMA SX, which it is not. Let's just be happy that there's some good racing in the fall and that deserving riders can make more money doing what they love.
