I know there’s a huge swath of people in here who don’t like Jase or the pod so I’ll be expecting the downvotes and comments about why you don’t like it and although I don’t have an opinion on Jase, I do enjoy the conversations he has with riders and others on the pod mostly because I like hearing their story.
That being said, they haven’t posted an episode since #377 back in the middle of September. Does anyone know why? I know he was in AUS for WSX and AUSX open so maybe a visa issue? Have they mentioned anywhere why they haven’t been posting episodes? They started an electrolytes company SOTA fuel a couple months ago so maybe busy with getting it off the ground, leaving less time for the pod?
I would have to guess that he's just been busy. He was honestly pretty good in the booth at WSX, all things considered.
I personally don't love his interview style, but the caliber of guests is undeniable. He's very well connected in the industry. He's been better at not talking over his guests lately. The biggest thing I still don't like is how he allows the guests to get political sometimes, and I really just don't care. I really do not need to know what most of these guys think of current events outside of the sport. All the smartest public figures know to stay out of it...

He’s a normal fella like everyone else could just be burnt out and needed a solid break from it.

Everytime there is a new Gypsy thread people have the need to come in and bash him like they're forced to watch or listen to his content. So weird.

Thank god i didn’t get jump scared again with that picture of him with his tongue out. Gets my blood pressure up every time.
He self deported because of the current landscape in America and is getting his and his wife’s visas all up dated so they have no problems when they come back.
His studio in Australia burned down so he’s currently using a makeshift studio. He’s putting out content, just not long format interviews.
He’s been on the road…pretty sure I saw him at an SMX…then he hit the travel tour for WSX.
Not even kidding, he was bringing it up so much I at one point started combing through each episode and clipping out each time it happened to make a compilation video as a joke. It happened so much I ran out of room on my phone 😂

BJJ is awesome. I ride moto 2-3x per week and hit the mats the same. There are more of us here than you know.
Plus, his podcast isn't just our sport centric, it's more moto because that's his network and early life interests. it's just meant to be a podcast that brings in interesting people in niche sports that he has interests in.
Plus I can't count how many of these moto guys talk about MTB or Golf. AC JB show has 5-10 minutes of golf talk a week. Mathes doesn't shut up about his Strava rides. It's all fair
I never really gave the guy much of a listen mostly due to all the hate he got on here. I’m a fan now. I think he did really good in wsx and figured he would have tons of interviews from all those events.

He didn’t have immigration issues, his wife is Russian and they were going back to get everything updated so they don’t have any problems.
A lot of immigrants did it.

No disrespect at all here. BJJ is no joke and I’ll watch fights from time to time but even Jase would call himself out on the pods for bringing it up because he was getting so much flack for it. Now every time he mentions it I’ll say out loud: “there it is” 😂
Makes sense given our current political climate and the fact he has dealt with visa issues previously. A close friend of mine recently eloped with his GF who is from Columbia for the same reasons.

Instead it is “Good” that he hasn’t put anything out since September? There is one word that describes you but I won’t post it because I might end up on the Vital naughty list.

I thought he had a whole studio in CA. Seems hard to maintain paying for all that and I assume cars etc without putting out the content that pays those bills. Who knows, the math just doesn't work based on views etc but maybe there is more there.

I'm a listener ,I enjoy his show.
I'm not a big MMA guy but my wife is into it. Her term for BJJ guys is a bunch of butt scooting pussies. Her words not mine. She's a judo and Shingitai jujitsu girl. I do agree sometimes his interviews are decent and then sometimes I just turn it off they are terrible.
You just described his target demographic.
