Why does the casual fan care who has what numbers? Permanent numbers are far better for identifying who is who on the track. Trying to build some sort of order into a numbering system doesn’t work.

Chiz absolutely earned that number. And has been good enough to retain it for many years. Chiz is very good.

I believe the riders should be able to choose what ever number they want to run.

They don't do it in NASCAR, Formula 1, MotoGP, etc...those motorsports seem to be doing just fine.

Fully disagree. Wins trump championships. It’s racing. I don’t care if you finish your whole career with 20 championships and 10 wins. I have more respect for someone with 100 wins and 2 championships. Racing is racing. Racing is about SPEED. Who’s the fastest. That’s why you watch. You don’t cheer on 2nd place every weekend because he has the points on lock. Defeats the whole purpose of having a “race”. Championships pay the big money but we all watch for wins.

The world would be amazing if we had more parents like the Lawrence’s the chase their children’s dreams…. Not just passing an iDevice in their faces as a babysitter and just letting the kids tag along to whatever the parent wants to do.. you chose to have kids then live their best lives and do what it takes to achieve it.

He needs to get off the 250 and race a 450. Not everybody can be a 250 champion, dude killed it in SX on the 450. Not many people can jump into 450 SX with little prep and go win their heat race in a demanding fashion. That shows his level of talent on a bike. I really do think there is something to be said about overriding a bike that causes these endless crashes.

I'm way older. My MX is really just taking a few easy laps during the week when not many are around. Once this Beta 300 RX comes in. Its going to be a swiss army knife. Even though its labeled an MX bike, its a six speed with slightly larger tank. Might even put a kickstand on it lol. I plan to tall the gears, crank the PV down so I can ride trails, sgl track and easy MX tracks. Other older guys have done the same thing. Seems to make sense for me. Will know once it comes it.

Calm down Don, it’s not good for the heart. Take a breath and please read again, slowly if you need to, what I wrote….. I didn’t say one, or who, handled it better than the other, just saying watch it and make up your own mind. But for me at least, it was very telling.
